He will lead the team for the first time, tasked with guiding the 17-member squad in the initial two matches of the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament, which begins on November 14th. This was announced by the Bihar Cricket Association (BCA) on Friday. Bihar's first match is scheduled for November 14th against Saurashtra in Indore.

Bihar will commence its tournament journey with a game against Saurashtra, where Vaibha Suryavanshi will lead the team in the first two matches.

Vaibha Suryavanshi plays for 'Rajasthan Royals' in the IPL. He demonstrated outstanding performance in IPL 2026, becoming the tournament's top scorer. He amassed 776 runs across 16 innings, with an average strike rate exceeding 237.

He has also played for the Indian T20 International squad. To date, he has featured in 10 T20 International matches.

In the U-19 World Cup final, Vaibha delivered a brilliant performance against England, scoring 175 runs off 80 balls. This contributed to India winning the final match by a margin of 100 runs.

Recently, Vaibha also showed excellent form in the third T20 International match against New Zealand, scoring 45 runs off 19 balls. In partnership with Abhishek Sharma, he helped accumulate 133 runs.

The Chairman of the Bihar Cricket Association, Harsh Vardhan, noted that receiving the captaincy role will give Vaibha an opportunity to develop as a leader. Suryakumar Yadav earns captaincy in T20 tournaments and aims for two trophies

After winning the T20 World Cup title with the Indian team, Suryakumar Yadav will now serve as captain in domestic cricket competitions. He has been entrusted to lead teams in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and the Vijay Hazare Trophy. This decision was made by the Selection Committee of the Mumbai Cricket Association.

According to a report by Times of India (TOI), Suryakumar will lead the team in both white-ball tournaments this season. It is worth noting that he received this responsibility at a time when he was excluded from the Mumbai Ranji Trophy squad last month. Although he stated his availability for the entire domestic season, selectors did not include him in the red-ball team, citing that Suryakumar had not played enough red-ball matches recently.

Suryakumar's return to white-ball cricket and his appointment as captain have changed the dynamic. The Mumbai team's campaign in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy is scheduled to begin on November 14th in Kolkata. In Elite Group D, alongside Mumbai, are teams from Hyderabad, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Odisha, Uttarakhand, and Vidarbha. Mumbai's first match will be against Hyderabad.

According to a source within the Mumbai Cricket Association, the Selection Committee decided to make Suryakumar captain in both white-ball tournaments this season. Practice matches will take place on November 7th and 9th before the team selection. The Mumbai team will be selected on November 9th, and players will travel to Kolkata on November 11th.

This season promises to be special for Suryakumar Yadav. Under his leadership, the Indian team won the T20 World Cup 2026 title. Now he will share his captaincy experience with his domestic team, Mumbai. Suryakumar, known for his explosive hitting in international cricket, is now responsible for bringing home the Mumbai title.

Mumbai domestic cricket has a rich history. This team has always shown strong contenders in both the Ranji Trophy and limited-overs tournaments. Thus, having a player with international experience like Suryakumar as a leader could prove to be a significant advantage for the team.

After India became the T20 World Cup champion, Suryakumar Yadav returned to domestic cricket. In October, he represented the MIG Cricket Club in the MCA President's Cup T20 tournament. Participating in this competition, he regained his form in competitive cricket. Now, in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, his goal is not only to demonstrate batting prowess but also to lead the team to a title as captain.

Receiving the captaincy in white-ball cricket after being dropped from the Ranji squad gives Suryakumar's domestic season a new turn. Mumbai expects not only powerful performances but also leadership capable of guiding the team to the finals of the Syed Mushtaq Ali and Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Ishan Kishan's return questions India's squad composition after bright victory over New Zealand

The Indian team faces a complex dilemma: how to integrate players in excellent form while accounting for the possible return of Ishan Kishan. The questions concern not only the on-field lineup but also the order of play and rotation policy.

In the third T20 match against New Zealand, the Indian team demonstrated powerful play, giving the opponents no chance. Abhishek Sharma scored 113 runs off 38 balls, and Vaibhav Suryavanshi showed his strength in the squad, allowing India to reach a target of 199 runs in just 13.2 overs.

Thanks to this impressive victory, India gained an undisputed 3-0 lead in the five-match series. However, amidst this success, a difficult question has arisen: if Ishan Kishan recovers and returns to the team, whose place will be taken?

As soon as the wait for Ishan Kishan's return ends, the Indian team may face a selection problem. On one hand, there is Abhishek, capable of changing the course of the match with his explosive playing style. On the other hand, there is Vaibhav, who was fielded at the start in the third T20. Sanju Samson is also a key player who scores runs.

Deciding to drop Abhishek will be difficult given his recent performance. Dropping Vaibhav would call into question the plan to consistently give opportunities to the young batter at his preferred position. Excluding Sanju is also not easy, especially if he is strengthening his position by scoring runs.

The question of Ishan's return is also important. When the player becomes available after recovery, the team management must decide on his inclusion and the role of the other players. The real task is not just choosing one name, but creating a combination that maximizes the strengths of all players.

In the third T20, while Ishan was absent, Vaibhav Suryavanshi got a chance to bat at the top. This sparked a new discussion about the order of play. Vaibhav's main strength is attacking bowlers at the beginning of the innings. Previously, there were doubts about experimenting with his placement at the third position.

However, if the team plans to continue using Vaibhav at the start, it will have to reconsider the batting order of the remaining batsmen. In the third T20 against New Zealand, Sanju Samson batted at the third position. Now, if they maintain the plan with Vaibhav at the start, Sanju may be forced to adapt to a different role.

The situation is complicated by the question: should Sanju give up his preferred position for Vaibhav? Will the team management change the batting order to keep the Abhishek and Vaibhav duo? And will it become harder for Sanju to secure a spot in the squad after Ishan's return?

There is currently no definitive answer to these questions. Nevertheless, it is clear that one player's return may require a review of many aspects of the batting order.

The most important question in this situation relates to the Indian team's rotation policy. India has scheduled 16 T20 international matches from August to December: 3 against Afghanistan, 5 against West Indies, 5 against New Zealand, and 3 against Sri Lanka.

There could be a scenario where the team management predetermines how many matches each player will get, who will rest, and what each player's role will be. If players were informed in advance that they could take a break after four or five matches, the decision to exclude a player would not be based solely on their performance.

This could bring two advantages to the team. Firstly, it would reduce the pressure on key players who play constantly. Secondly, players' roles would remain clear during experiments with alternative squads.

Nevertheless, rotation does not mean that players must be excluded, even with good performance. Management must make decisions based on physical condition, form, opponent, and strategy. But having a preliminary plan could significantly simplify explaining any changes.

There are about two years until the T20 World Cup. This gives the Indian team time to test various batting order options, evaluate players in their roles, and make changes if necessary.

Therefore, the current selection crisis cannot be seen merely as losing a spot for one player. It is also an opportunity for the team management to develop a future strategy. Does India want to promote the Abhishek and Vaibhav duo at the top? What position will benefit Sanju the most? What will his role be after Ishan's return?

Anaya Bangar compiled a mixed all-star team of Indian players, including herself

Anaya Bangar formed the 'All Time India Playing XI' squad, combining both male and female cricketers from India. The team included legendary players such as Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, and Kapil Dev, as well as young batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Notably, Anaya Bangar herself took a spot in this squad.

This lineup was presented in a post by Krishnank Atre on Instagram and his YouTube podcast 'The Allrounder Show,' where the mixed team was featured for the first time.

MS Dhoni was appointed captain of the team. This choice was made based on the advice of Krishnank Atre, as his 'street' cricketing acumen and ability to analyze the game in the role of a wicketkeeper were noted as strengths.

The video also includes other segments, such as the super over and player rankings, but the main focus was on the unique Indian squad compiled by Anaya Bangar.

Anaya Bangar's 'Playing XI' included the following eleven athletes: Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Smriti Mandhana, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Harmanpreet Kaur, Hardik Pandya, MS Dhoni (captain), Julian Goswami, Anaya Bangar, Jasprit Bumrah, and Kapil Dev.

Anaya Bangar is the daughter of former Indian cricketer and former head coach of the Indian team's batting, Sanjay Bangar. She was previously known by the name Aryan Bangar. After transitioning genders, she publicly identified as Anaya. Besides cricket, she is active on social media, having over ten million followers on Instagram.

Anaya Bangar is preparing to return to the sports arena, with her return scheduled not in India, but in Australia. Cricket Australia (CA), after a detailed review of her case, granted her permission to play in elite women's cricket starting from March 2027, provided she meets the established requirements.
