Uzbekistan establishes the 'Fidoyi Volunteer' badge to develop the volunteer movement

Uzbekistan plans to transform volunteering into a nationwide movement by establishing the 'Fidoyi Volunteer' badge and strengthening support measures for volunteer activities. This decision is enshrined in the decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev dated November 6, 2026.

According to the document, various social actions, projects, and events involving volunteers are planned. These volunteers will receive both moral and material encouragement. Furthermore, state bodies are obliged to guarantee the observance of the rights and freedoms of all participants in the volunteer movement.

The main objectives outlined in the decree are to strengthen the sense of social responsibility and mutual assistance in society, with special attention to youth. Additionally, an increase in the volume of free assistance for those in difficult life situations is planned, including lonely elderly people, persons with disabilities, and other needy citizens.

In honor of International Volunteer Day, celebrated on December 5, solemn events under the slogan 'A Step Towards Good' will be organized, emphasizing the desire to develop volunteering at a national level. Uzbekistan also plans to hold the Asian Volunteer Forum with the participation of delegations from foreign countries and international organizations.
