At the exhibition in the Optical Valley Science and Technology Exhibition Center in Wuhan on November 5, 2026, Huawei unveiled its first desktop computers running HarmonyOS. These devices carry the commercial brand Qingyun: the HM650 model is intended for corporate clients, while the HM650G is for government buyers. Both PC types operate on the Kirin X90 processor and utilize the HarmonyOS operating system.
The introduction of these models expands Huawei's lineup of HarmonyOS PCs beyond laptops, bringing it into the segment of stationary systems for office use. The Qingyun website already features the HM650 and HM650G models among commercial PCs, alongside laptops such as the HM740 and HM940.
Photos from the summit show compact black casings with USB-C and USB-A ports on the front, front vertical ventilation, and wired keyboards connected to external monitors on demonstration tables.
Features and Market Positioning
According to Chinese sources covering the summit and previous Qingyun briefings, this series is equipped with a dual-layer cooling system and is aimed at both daily office work and engineering design, simulation, and software development. Phoenix Tech, citing Huawei materials, reported that configurations include 16GB of memory with the option to install 512GB solid-state drives. It was also noted that the machines are sold through corporate and government channels, not through retail consumer sales, and Huawei claims that a fully domestic set of materials was used for this series. Pandaily does not independently verify these supply chain data.
Recently, the Huawei smart office products account announced that there are over 21,000 PC applications on HarmonyOS, covering office, AI, educational, entertainment, and creative use cases. Documentation on the Huawei consumer website lists the Qingyun HM650 and HM650G among HarmonyOS PC products with desktop function guides, confirming that these models are part of the commercial line, not concepts.
Although Huawei did not publish a full public specification for these desktop computers at the summit, Pandaily does not consider unofficial data regarding core count or heat dissipation confirmed. What is evident from the debut is the product segmentation: one SKU model for enterprises and one for government buyers, both based on Kirin X90 and HarmonyOS, marking the first instance of a desktop form factor in Huawei's HarmonyOS PC lineup.
