In the electric motorcycle world, competition is now determined not only by range and battery; manufacturers are creating models capable of competing with gasoline motorcycles in appearance and performance. As part of this trend, Hero MotoCorp introduced its new electric motorcycle, the VIDA Project VXZ, at the EICMA 2026 exhibition.
This motorcycle, initially presented at EICMA 2025 jointly with the American company Zero Motorcycles, is now shown in a completely new guise. Particular attention has been drawn to the combined pink and purple colors, as well as new features such as a charging port, belt drive, and digital instrument cluster.
The design of the Hero VIDA VXZ features an aggressive and sporty look reminiscent of a streetfighter. The front end is equipped with a angular projector headlight surrounded by a wide lighting system, and above it is a small tinted windscreen. The wide handlebars and large digital display give the front of the motorcycle an attractive appearance.
Pink and purple colors with unique graphics are used on the side panels, contrasting with the black frame and mechanical parts. The side panels are partially transparent and bear the Project VXZ emblem. The motorcycle has separate seats for the rider and passenger, and the raised rear section and slim taillight emphasize its sporty character. The upper part resembles the fuel tank of a gasoline motorcycle, but in fact, the charging port is located there.
The company demonstrated the Project VXZ charging system: upon opening the top panel, the charging inlet is visible, which is covered by a hinged cover. However, Hero MotoCorp has not yet disclosed information about the charging standard, nor about the capabilities of a built-in charger or charging speed.
Another feature is the belt drive system. A belt is used to transmit power from the engine to the rear wheel. The engine itself is mounted next to the pivot axis, and a large housing containing the battery and other electrical components is located in the central and lower parts of the motorcycle.
In terms of hardware, the VIDA Project VXZ is equipped with an inverted fork (USD) at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The motorcycle has alloy wheels and well-designed tires. Additionally, disc brakes are provided on the pivot axis and both wheels, and the front brake caliper features a ByBre brand caliper. An ABS ring is also present.
The VIDA VXZ's digital instrument cluster is highly advanced: it features a large color display that shows motorcycle graphics, riding modes, parking function, and settings. The screen also displays battery status and estimated range. The switch block includes directional controls, an emergency signal button, a riding mode selector, and an SOS button. Icons related to ABS and traction control are visible on the display, indicating the implementation of modern electronic functions.
According to the image presented at EICMA 2026, the estimated range is 150 kilometers at 80% battery charge, allowing for an extrapolated approximate range of about 188 kilometers at a full charge. Hero MotoCorp has not yet provided data on production timelines, launch time, or the price of the Vida VXZ.
