Samsung is implementing the update to Android 17, bringing the One UI 9 interface to a wider range of its mobile devices in Brazil. The Galaxy A07 4G, Galaxy A16 (in its 4G and 5G versions), Galaxy A35, Galaxy M35, and Galaxy M54 were the first models to receive this new interface.
The Galaxy A07 5G initiated the update process, with Samsung making the update available for Brazilian models the previous week, specifically last Wednesday, October 28th, as detailed in the update's change log. On the following day, October 29th, the Galaxy A16 5G also received the new feature.
Subsequently, the A16 4G, A17 4G, M35, and A35 devices began updating on the previous day, November 3rd. Although the change log for the M54 does not yet mention the new feature, this device already has the latest version. It is important to note that this will be the last Android update for the M54, after which it should only receive security patches and perhaps One UI 9.5.
This new batch of devices receiving One UI 9 also includes other 5G variants of the A07 and A17 models, as well as other eligible models, such as all tablets prior to the Tab S12 series and the Galaxy S23 FE, which are expected to be covered in the coming days and weeks.
According to Samsung's official description, One UI 9 aims to integrate Galaxy AI into the user's daily life, offering more intuitive and useful artificial intelligence functionalities. Users will be able to take advantage of new ways to simplify tasks, create content, and stay connected through AI functions adapted to Galaxy usage.
This version of One UI is built on Android 17, the latest version released by Google. Among the software enhancements, the Now Brief and New Nudge stand out, becoming smarter by utilizing information captured directly on the user's phone. Another recently introduced feature is the My FanCam application, which has the ability to analyze videos and generate clips focused on specific individuals, having been initially presented with the 2026 foldable phone lineup.
Because they are entry-level and mid-range models, the updated devices may not have access to all the features introduced in One UI 9, unlike models belonging to the Z and S lines.
