Zerodha increases instant withdrawal limit to 500,000 rupees and expands operating hours

Good news for investors using Zerodha for stock market trading: the brokerage firm has increased the Instant Withdrawal limit from 200,000 to 500,000 rupees per day. Additionally, the operating hours for this feature have been extended.

The service is now available from 9 AM to 6 PM, as well as on weekends and stock market holidays. This information was announced by Nitin Kamath, Co-founder and CEO of Zerodha, on the X platform on November 3. He noted that since the launch of instant withdrawal in 2024, the company has processed approximately 100 billion rupees in payouts. This function is completely free for clients.

Nitin Kamath wrote on X that they have raised the instant withdrawal limit from 200,000 to 500,000 rupees. It is now available from 9 AM to 6 PM, as well as on weekends and market holidays. He added that about 100 billion rupees in instant payouts have been processed since 2024, and this service is absolutely free.

Under the new system, a client can submit only one instant withdrawal request per day. Through this single request, an amount ranging from a minimum of 100 to a maximum of 500,000 rupees can be withdrawn.

Clients can transfer funds from their trading account directly to their linked primary bank account using Zerodha's instant withdrawal feature, without waiting for the standard withdrawal process to complete. To use this feature, you need to follow these steps: log into your Zerodha account, navigate to the 'Funds' section, select the 'Instant Withdrawal' option, enter the desired amount, and confirm the request.

This option is available from 9 AM to 6 PM, as well as on Saturdays, Sundays, and market holidays, and no extra charge is levied for its use.

The increased instant withdrawal limit does not mean that the entire amount displayed in the trading account can be withdrawn immediately; there are certain conditions. It is also important to know that if an instant withdrawal request fails, the client cannot submit a second request on the same day, and in that case, they will have to use the regular withdrawal option.

No, the 500,000 rupee limit applies exclusively to the instant withdrawal feature. It does not mean that Zerodha clients can withdraw a maximum of 500,000 rupees per day. If a larger amount needs to be withdrawn, the regular withdrawal feature can be used. According to Zerodha support documentation, clients can submit withdrawal requests up to 50 million rupees through the Console platform. For withdrawing amounts exceeding this limit, the broker's support must be contacted with a request. However, with regular withdrawals, funds are transferred to the bank account according to the standard processing schedule, and they are not subject to the 9 AM to 6 PM time frame like instant withdrawal.

Company introduces Temple device for brain activity tracking in India; priced at 85 thousand rupees

Dipinder Goel, founder of the food delivery company Zomato, introduced a new gadget called Temple in India. This specialized device is designed to monitor a person's health status and brain activity.

Pre-orders for this device have now begun in India. Those considering a purchase should be aware of its features and cost. Temple differs from standard fitness trackers or smartwatches because it is specifically designed to track blood flow in the brain and related signals.

The device attaches to the side of the head, between the forehead and the ear. It is equipped with optical sensors that record changes in cerebral blood circulation. The company calls this technology BrainFlow.

Key Features of Temple

This device also incorporates a feature called Entropy Score, which displays a metric from 1 to 250. Using this score, the user can assess the level of stress experienced by the body. It takes into account factors such as sleep, physical exercise, stress, and caffeine consumption.

Temple does not require a strap to be worn on the head; it is secured using special adhesive strips called Grips. According to the company, it can be worn while running, swimming, and showering. The gadget is also designed with the needs of people who wear glasses in mind.

Cost and Ordering Process

The price of Temple in India is set at 85,000 rupees and includes a lifetime subscription. Pre-sales in India will open on November 1st at 21:30. Users can place an order through the Temple app or on the official website temple.com.

The company states that each device will be manufactured after receiving an order, so the delivery time may take about three months. However, users have the option to request a refund before the device is shipped. Temple is available in six color options: True Gold, Rose Gold, Black Mirror, Real Jade, Deep Blue, and Purple Funk.

It is important to note that Temple is not positioned as a medical device for diagnosing diseases. It is intended for wellness and research purposes, distinguishing it from smartwatches, and potential buyers must thoroughly study its capabilities and methods of use before purchasing.
