VinFast lowers price of seven-seater car by 4.1 lakh rupees ahead of Diwali

VinFast has made significant changes to the pricing policy of its powerful seven-seater vehicle. The company has reduced the cost of the VF MPV 7 to a level that is 4.1 lakh rupees lower.

This car was introduced only six months ago, and its price has already been significantly reduced in this short period. Initially, VinFast launched the VF MPV 7 with an exclusive showroom starting price of 24.49 lakh rupees. After the price reduction, the cost of this vehicle is 20.39 lakh rupees, including the exclusive showroom. Previously, it was among the most expensive models in its segment, but now it has become a more affordable option.

When compared to competitor models, the Kia Carens Klavis EV starts from 18.04 lakh rupees. Other options include the MG Hector Tomahawk EV priced from 20.25 lakh rupees and the Mahindra XEV 9S from 20.65 lakh rupees.

The VinFast VF MPV 7 is equipped with a 60.13 kWh battery, which provides 204 hp and 280 Nm of torque. The car has a front electric motor and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 9 seconds. The maximum speed of this car is 140 kilometers per hour, and the claimed range reaches 517 kilometers.

Regarding charging, the vehicle supports both 80 kW DC fast charging and 6.9 kW AC charging. After the price reduction, this model has become a very attractive choice.

VinFast is demonstrating strong results in the Indian market, while many other companies require many years to understand the specifics of this market. Since entering the electric vehicle segment, VinFast has entered the top 5 companies. Having started its journey in the Indian market in 2025, the company sold 2571 vehicles in October, according to Auto पंडित्ज report. This figure represents a growth of 1710 percent compared to the previous year, making VinFast the fourth company in terms of electric vehicle sales in India.

Volkswagen Jetta GLI with R$ 28.5k discount positions itself between hybrid Corolla and Civic in the Brazilian market

The Volkswagen Jetta GLI, sold in Brazil in a unique configuration, is approaching its Japanese competitors. Its official price is R$ 258,490, however, listings found at dealerships on the Webmotors platform show prices starting from R$ 229,990, which represents a reduction of R$ 28.5k from the table price. There are even lower offers available, reaching R$ 226,900.

With this reduction, the Jetta GLI is now positioned between the Toyota Corolla Altis Premium, priced at R$ 211,990, and the Honda Civic Advanced, valued at R$ 266,500. The price difference compared to the Toyota is R$ 18k, while for the Honda it is R$ 36.5k.

It is important to note that, unlike the Volkswagen, both mentioned rivals operate as hybrid vehicles, integrating combustion and electric engines.

This price drop follows a previous trend, as in July, Volkswagen itself had already lowered the table price of the Jetta GLI, from R$ 278,490 to the current R$ 258,490. Furthermore, on the manufacturer's website, the sedan can be purchased for R$ 239,990 through the trade-in of a used vehicle, or with special zero-interest conditions for those who make a 60% down payment and pay the remainder in 18 installments.

This model, imported from Mexico and available in the country since 2019, was restyled at the end of 2025. Maintaining the tradition of sports cars, it has no type of electrification. Its 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine, which uses only gasoline, generates 231 hp and 35.7 kgfm. It features a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.

In terms of performance, the sedan can reach 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds and has a top speed of 249 km/h. Regarding fuel consumption, according to Inmetro, the Jetta GLI achieves 9.9 km/l in the city and 12.2 km/l on the highway. With a length of 4.74 meters, it offers a trunk capacity of 510 liters and comes standard with a panoramic sunroof.

Government agreement lowers Aston Martin car prices to 40 million rupees

The British luxury car manufacturer Aston Martin has announced a significant price reduction on its models in India, which is good news for those dreaming of owning a luxury vehicle. The company has adjusted the cost of seven of its models, with the greatest benefit going to buyers of the Aston Martin Vanquish Volante.

This decision was made following the signing of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between India and Great Britain. The company presented details of the price reductions across various models.

The flagship grand tourer, the Aston Martin Vanquish Volante, received the most substantial discount. Previously priced at 10.92 crore rupees in India, this model's price has now been reduced to 6.90 crore rupees, offering customers a direct saving of 4.02 crore rupees. Furthermore, the price of the Vanquish Coupe has also decreased: its original cost was 10.11 crore rupees, but it is now 6.40 crore rupees.

Models from the DB12 S line have also become significantly more affordable. The price of the DB12 S Coupe dropped from 6.62 crore rupees to 4.10 crore rupees, representing a cost reduction of 2.52 crore rupees. Similarly, the price of the DB12 S Volante fell from 7 crore rupees to 4.35 crore rupees, allowing buyers to save 2.65 crore rupees.

For those looking to enter the Aston Martin sports car lineup, the Vantage S has also become cheaper. The price of the Vantage S Coupe dropped from 4.99 crore rupees to 3.15 crore rupees. The price of the Vantage S Roadster was also substantially reduced: it previously cost 5.26 crore rupees, but can now be purchased for 3.35 crore rupees.

The luxurious and sporty SUV, the DBX S from Aston Martin, also received a discount of 2.65 crore rupees. Its initial price was 6.80 crore rupees, but the company now offers it at a new price of 4.15 crore rupees.

A notable feature of this price revision is that buyers can save over 2 crore rupees on almost every model. It is worth noting that the new price of the Vanquish Volante is now lower than the original price of the Vanquish Coupe. Nevertheless, despite such a significant reduction, Aston Martin cars remain inaccessible to the general consumer base as their cost is still in the tens of millions of rupees. However, for customers who were already planning to purchase a luxury vehicle in this price segment, this change could prove very important.

Used SUVs suffer greater depreciation on OLX in 2026; Chevrolet Tracker leads the decline

Owners of used SUVs may find a surprise when considering selling, as this segment experienced the greatest depreciation on the OLX platform during 2026. According to a survey conducted by the platform, the asking prices for SUV ads decreased by 7% in the period between January and August, compared to the same interval last year.

This percentage reduction was higher than that observed in sedans (which registered a drop of 4.8%) and hatchbacks (with a drop of 3.8%). The study covered the five most advertised models in each body type category, all powered by combustion engines and with model years from 2023 onwards.

This depreciation trend was also noted in another indicator, the Auto B3 Table, which indicated a 7.4% drop in used SUV prices over 12 months up to August.

The Chevrolet Tracker was identified as the SUV with the highest depreciation. Considering all its versions, its price fell by 9.5%. The most significant case is the 2026 Tracker equipped with a 1.0 turbo engine, whose price dropped from R$ 154,090 to R$ 119,990 in listings. This represents a decrease of R$ 34.1 thousand, or a drop of 22.1%, making it the highest index in the entire survey.

Part of this variation can be attributed to the model's launch itself: the 2026 Tracker arrived at dealerships in July 2025, with the LT version priced at R$ 154,090, an amount identical to what was reported by OLX that year. Subsequently, in October, Chevrolet reduced this price to R$ 142,490.

Other popular SUVs followed a similar trajectory. The 2025 Volkswagen T-Cross, with a 1.4 turbo engine, became 14.7% more affordable, while the 2025 Jeep Renegade, with a 1.3 turbo engine, showed a drop of 13.7%. Meanwhile, the Hyundai Creta registered a 7% loss in value.

However, there were notable exceptions. The 2026 T-Cross, also with a 1.0 turbo engine, saw its price increase by 11.7%, and the Volkswagen Nivus with the same engine saw an increase of 2.3%.

Among sedans, the Volkswagen Virtus was the one that depreciated the most, with a drop of 7%. Hatchbacks showed greater resistance to price cuts, with the Fiat Mobi almost maintaining its original value. However, the 2026 Hyundai HB20, with a naturally aspirated 1.0 engine, suffered a sharp drop of 16.4%.

Conversely, versions equipped with turbo or larger displacement engines were the ones that appreciated the most, as exemplified by the 2025 Fiat Argo 1.3, which became 14.6% more expensive.

Flávio Passos, Vice President of Autos at OLX Group, attributes part of this scenario to the entry of Chinese manufacturers into the market with competitively priced electric vehicles, which exerts pressure on the sector. He commented that 'since the price of the used car follows that of the brand new one, this dynamic tends to devalue it.'
