Russian TV host Nikita Pimenov shared his thoughts on changes in Tashkent, unusual topics, and journalism itself.
Nikita Pimenov, a TV host for Russia's 'Channel One' and also an actor in theater and cinema, expressed his opinion to a Sputnik Uzbekistan correspondent regarding the need to cover unusual topics in Russia, journalism, and the rapid development of Uzbekistan.
According to Pimenov, journalists should look for non-standard plots, telling more stories about little-known interesting places and events in Moscow and other Russian cities. He noted: 'A person should read and be surprised: 'I didn't know there was such a thing in Omsk or Tomsk! I need to go there'. '
Sputnik Uzbekistan TV channel also emphasized that its editorial office covers a wide range of topics, including cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan, international politics, economy, and culture.
Pimenov expressed support for Sputnik's work, noting: 'You are doing a big and very important job.'
The TV host is well informed about the changes taking place in Uzbekistan. His brother lives in Tashkent and regularly sends photos and videos of the city. According to Pimenov, the transformations in the capital always surprise him.
