NKZ Vorax and Marere E-Sports battle for a spot in the CELOL Série A final

The playoffs of the CELOL Série A tournament are approaching the determination of finalists. After the first rounds of the playoff phase, teams NKZ Vorax and Marere E-Sports have secured their places in the Upper Bracket final, which will take place on November 8th at 17:00.

Meanwhile, teams emBRAZA! Esports, Smoke Tram Esports, LOS Academy, and Neon Esports continue to fight for the title, but now they must survive in the Lower Bracket.

The League of Legends championship, organized by Liga GG, uses a double-elimination format, which allows teams to continue participating in the competition after the first loss; however, a second loss leads to elimination from the tournament.

With six teams participating, the upcoming matches will be decisive in determining the participants of the grand final scheduled for November 15th.

NKZ Vorax began the playoffs with a match against Neon Esports in the first round of the Upper Bracket. After winning, this team faced emBRAZA! Esports, which had the right to start directly in the second round due to its performance in the group stage. NKZ managed to defeat emBRAZA! and secured its participation in the Upper Bracket final.

Marere E-Sports followed a similar path. The team first played against LOS Academy in the first round, and then, advancing further, fought against Smoke Tram Esports in the second round. After another success, Marere earned the right to face NKZ.

The match between these two teams will take place in a Best-of-Three (MD3) format on November 8th at 17:00. The winner guarantees themselves a spot in the grand final of CELOL Série A, while the losing team will move to the final stage of the Lower Bracket, retaining a chance to reach the final meeting.

emBRAZA! Esports and Smoke Tram Esports gained an advantage by starting directly from the second round of the Upper Bracket. However, both teams suffered defeats in their first series of the playoff phase. emBRAZA! lost to NKZ Vorax, and Smoke Tram was defeated by Marere E-Sports. As a result of these results, both teams moved to the Lower Bracket, where they will have a new chance to fight for the title.

On November 7th, emBRAZA! will meet LOS Academy, and Smoke Tram will play against Neon Esports. The matches will be held in MD3 format, starting at 17:00. These teams have no room for error: a loss will lead to elimination.

The other two teams in the Lower Bracket will also advance to subsequent matchups after losing in the first round of the playoffs. LOS Academy was defeated by Marere E-Sports, and Neon Esports lost to NKZ Vorax. Now both organizations will get a chance to recover.

LOS will meet emBRAZA!, and Neon will face Smoke Tram. These matches promise to test the teams' ability to adapt, as everyone needs to win to continue dreaming of the title.

In the double-elimination format, the Lower Bracket represents a longer path to resolution, requiring a series of wins without new losses. The Upper Bracket final between NKZ Vorax and Marere E-Sports will determine the first team qualified for the championship.

The team that loses in the Upper Bracket final will not be immediately eliminated. It will move to the third round of the Lower Bracket, scheduled for November 14th. Meanwhile, emBRAZA!, LOS Academy, Smoke Tram, and Neon Esports must go through the Lower Bracket matches.

On November 7th, two of these teams will be eliminated. The winners will meet the next day, November 8th. The one who advances in this confrontation will meet the team that lost in the Upper Bracket final on November 14th. The winner of this last match will secure second place in the grand final.

The CELOL Série A final will take place on November 15th at 17:00 in a Best-of-Five (MD5) format. In this format, the winner will be the first team to achieve three victories.

As the playoffs progress, qualification obtained in the group stage no longer guarantees peace of mind. emBRAZA! and Smoke Tram, who started directly from the second round, must now seek recovery in the Lower Bracket. At the same time, NKZ Vorax and Marere E-Sports reach the Upper Bracket final after winning their first two qualifying matches.

The difference in paths demonstrates one of the main features of the double-elimination format: a team can recover from a loss and still reach the final, but it will have to overcome a longer sequence of opponents.

For all six organizations, the goal remains unchanged: to win the CELOL Série A title. Matches will be broadcast on the official channels of Liga GG and on YouTube Olhar Digital. Follow the matches on November 7th and 8th to find out which teams remain in the fight and who will secure first place in the CELOL Série A grand final.

Conflict between Rashid Khan and Ryan Berle during Zimbabwe vs Afghanistan match

The third and final T20 match of the series between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe took place on November 1st at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah. In this game, Afghanistan won by seven wickets, thus concluding the series with a 3-0 result in favor of Afghanistan.

During the match, the atmosphere on the field intensified. A tense verbal altercation occurred between Afghanistan's star leg spinner, Rashid Khan, and Zimbabwe batsman Ryan Berle. Both players were face-to-face on the field, requiring intervention from the umpires.

This incident happened in the ninth over of Zimbabwe's innings. On the second ball of that over, Rashid Khan appealed for LBW against Ryan Berle, but the umpire ruled that the Zimbabwean batsman was not out. Since the DRS system was not available in the series, Rashid appeared dissatisfied with the decision. The dispute between the two players began after the fifth ball of the over.

As the situation escalated, umpire Ahmed Shah Pathan separated the players. The tension persisted even after the end of the over, necessitating the intervention of the second umpire, Farouk Khan. However, interestingly, the tension on the field later resolved in a lighter manner: Rashid sent Ryan Berle, who was sitting on the bench, an air kiss, a video of which became a topic of discussion on social media.

Ryan Berle scored the most runs for Zimbabwe, making 30 runs. Nevertheless, he did not receive sufficient support from the other side, and the Zimbabwe team was dismissed in just 14.3 overs, having scored 79 runs. For Afghanistan, Nur Ahmad delivered a brilliant performance, taking five wickets for 13 runs in 3.3 overs. This marked his first five-wicket haul in his T20 International career.

In response, Afghanistan reached the target of 80 runs in just 49 balls, easily concluding the series and securing a clean sweep against Zimbabwe. Besides Afghanistan's brilliant victory, the incident between Rashid Khan and Ryan Berle also attracted public attention.
