TVS Motor unveils four global models and targets 30% of foreign revenue by 2030

TVS Motor Company, the world's third-largest two-wheeler manufacturer, unveiled four production-ready models at the EICMA 2026 exhibition in Milan on Tuesday. This move reinforces the company's commitment to the European market, which is viewed as strategically important.

This initiative is part of the company's overall strategy to increase the share of international business in total revenue, which could potentially reach 30 percent or more by 2030. The four presented models—TVS Orbiter, TVS M1-S, TVS X, and TVS RTR 125—reflect TVS Motor's approach to meeting Europe's evolving mobility needs, including electric city commuting, premium urban transport, and light sport motorcycles.

The exhibition showcased products specifically designed for European consumers, relying on specialized engineering capabilities, an expanding retail network, and the strengths of TVS Motor's global ecosystem of manufacturing, technology, and product development. This demonstrates the company's ability to combine market-specific product development with global engineering expertise and manufacturing excellence.

Europe is becoming increasingly significant for TVS Motor's international business as the company continues to strengthen its presence in developed markets. Building on years of manufacturing experience, advanced technological capabilities, and growing international engineering presence, TVS Motor is laying the foundation for sustainable long-term success in the region.

Forecasts and Strategy

Peyman Kargar, President of International Business at TVS Motor Company, stated that Europe represents a vital market for TVS Motor and a key part of its international growth plans. He noted significant opportunities in electric mobility, high-performance motorcycles, and premium urban transport. However, he emphasized that success in these markets requires not only a competitive product but also a deep understanding of customer needs, strong local execution, and a reliable distribution and service network.

Over the past year, the company has focused on strengthening its distribution base, developing dealer and service center capabilities, and preparing a portfolio that meets the needs of European riders. Continuing to solidify its position in Europe, the company's focus is on expanding customer access to the TVS brand, deepening customer engagement, and providing products that combine quality, technology, and customer experience.

Peyman Kargar, who has over thirty years of international automotive industry leadership experience, was appointed Director and CEO of TVS Motor Company on January 27, 2027, succeeding K N Radhakrishnan.

TVS Motor's approach to Europe is built on three priorities: developing products that meet the needs of local customers and European riding conditions; establishing robust distribution and after-sales service capabilities; and leveraging its international engineering and design ecosystem to compete in technologically advanced markets.

The company has steadily expanded its retail network, starting in Italy, then expanding into Spain and Portugal, with further plans for development in France and Germany. The Italian network now boasts over 100 retail outlets, supported by positive sales momentum. Sales in Italy increased by 110 percent over the last year, while 22 retail outlets are operational in Spain and Portugal.

This expansion demonstrates TVS Motor's commitment to building a sustainable business that goes beyond initial product launches. The company continues to invest in market development, dealer capabilities, and after-sales support to ensure strong customer relationships and build trust and long-term interest in the brand in European markets.

The four models presented at EICMA 2026 are designed to cater to various customer segments. The electric range covers daily city commutes, more versatile urban transport, and premium connected mobility, while the TVS RTR 125 expands the company's offering of sport motorcycles for young and novice riders.

TVS Motor's experience in electric mobility forms the basis for this expansion. With over one million electric scooters sold globally and investments exceeding $1 billion in EV and battery ecosystems, the company applies its expertise in EV engineering, software integration, and manufacturing to products designed for international markets.

TVS Capital launches private lending fund worth 750 crore rupees

TVS Capital Funds has introduced the private lending platform TVS Alts, which aims to raise 750 crore rupees for its inaugural fund. There is a 'green shoe' option amounting to 500 crore rupees, potentially increasing the total capital raised to 1,250 crore rupees.

The primary capital is expected to come from domestic sources, including insurance companies, bank treasuries, and corporations; however, these are currently potential investors, not confirmed commitments. The proposed fund has been registered with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and awaits regulatory approval.

TVS Alts plans to provide secured loans ranging from 40 to 100 crore rupees to companies with strong credit profiles, backed by collateral. The fund targets a return of approximately 17% and will support syndicated financing (bridge financing), pre-IPO funding for companies preparing for listing, as well as mergers and acquisitions across various sectors.

The investment team has reviewed 42 opportunities, with two or three currently under consideration. The first closing phase of the fund is anticipated within six months of receiving regulatory approval, with final closure expected within 12–14 months.

TVS Capital, founded by Gopal Srinivasan in 2007, is a private equity management company specializing in financial services and technology. Through TVS Alts, the company is expanding its operations from equity investments to lending. TVS Capital owns 90% of the new platform, while the remaining stake belongs to co-founder Shyam Srinivasan, who serves as Executive Chairman of TVS Alternatives and leads this venture.

Manish Makaria, formerly with TVS Capital and SBI Funds Management, will take on the role of Managing Partner. Srinivasan noted that the fund will focus on companies possessing 'strong credit profiles, robust fundamentals, and sufficient collateral.'

Recently, TVS Capital completed the placement of its fourth private equity fund worth nearly 4,000 crore rupees. This initiative comes as private lending establishes itself as a stable alternative funding source in India, although recent utilization of funds has remained generally steady.

EY recorded $3.5 billion in investments across more than 100 Indian deals in the first half of 2026, compared to $3.4 billion in the second half of 2025. Domestic funds accounted for 74% of the total deal value, and transactions valued between $10 and $60 million comprised 61%.

Key areas of fund deployment include refinancing, holding company financing, and acquisitions. Recent fundraising campaigns also reflect growing competition: Kotak Alts closed its Yield and Growth fund at 5,000 crore rupees in September, fully supported by domestic investors. Motilal Oswal Alternates announced the first close of its private lending fund worth 1,700 crore rupees in February, and Ascertis Credit Fund IV exceeded $700 million in commitments in October.

Meanwhile, the regulatory framework is evolving in parallel with the market. SEBI amended its rules for alternative investment funds in 2026. Furthermore, the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code was modified in April to eliminate procedural delays and creditor-related processes, after which the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India provided guidance on changes to corporate insolvency resolution rules.

TVS Motor plans to increase electric motorcycle production capacity to 80 thousand units by March 2027

TVS Motor Company intends to increase its production capacity for electric two-wheelers to 80,000 units monthly by the end of March 2027. This decision was made to meet the growing demand for electric scooters, according to a senior company official.

TVS Motor's CEO, K. Radhakrishnan, told investors that the company is currently operating at a capacity of about 60,000–65,000 units, but an expansion to approximately 80,000 units has already been planned.

The penetration rate of electric vehicles in the two-wheeler segment shows very strong growth. Overall, the penetration in the two-wheeler market is around 11–12 percent, while in the scooter segment, it has exceeded the 20 percent mark.

TVS Motor holds leading positions in the electric motorcycle market. Its main competitor, Bajaj Auto, is also increasing the capacity of its Chetak model range to 80,000 units. Furthermore, Ather Energy is increasing production at its existing facility to over 41,000 units, and a new facility is under construction.

Radhakrishnan noted that TVS Motor's electric vehicle sales have more than doubled, reaching 186,186 units in the second quarter compared to 80,009 units the previous year. He predicts that the momentum of electric vehicle development will continue, and very good growth is expected.

He also emphasized that the electric motorcycle industry grew by almost 75 percent in the first half of the fiscal year. TVS Motor's electric motorcycle sales in the domestic market increased by 129 percent in the second quarter, while the overall industry volume grew by 84 percent.

According to Radhakrishnan, the company will continue to grow significantly faster than the market, as the capacity expansion will support TVS's growth in subsequent quarters, given the sustained demand for electric motorcycles in the second half of the year. At the same time, management expects the growth rate of the traditional (ICE) two-wheeler industry volume to slow down in the second half of the year compared to the first half due to the high base level from the previous year.

Analysis of 5 Recommended Aiwa Smart TV Models for Purchase in 2026

Aiwa has established its position in the Brazilian television market by combining current technologies, sophisticated design, and a good balance between cost and benefit. The brand's Smart TVs are distinguished by their extremely thin bezels, the Android TV operating system, and features such as Blue Protect, which aims to increase visual comfort by reducing blue light emission.

Tecnoblog presents five Aiwa Smart TV models available in Brazil that are considered good purchases for the year 2026, detailing the pros and cons of each to aid in the purchasing decision.

Aiwa AWS-TV-55-BL-01-A

The Aiwa AWS-TV-55-BL-01-A is a 55-inch 4K Smart TV, featuring ultra-thin 1.4 mm bezels and an IPS D-LED panel. Although consumers report high resolution and good viewing angles, the color depth may disappoint more demanding users, particularly in red and green tones. Additionally, its refresh rate is limited to 60 Hz, which can be a limiting factor for gamers.

This TV supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision, along with a quad-core processor with artificial intelligence. In terms of audio, it features two 10W RMS speakers and is compatible with Dolby Atmos, offering good sound quality for its category. Its connections include four HDMI 2.1 ports, two USB ports, optical audio output, and an RJ-45 network port. The Blue Protect feature contributes to visual comfort, and the use of Android TV allows for integrated Chromecast and voice commands via Google Assistant.

Aiwa AWS-TV-50-BL-02-A

The Aiwa AWS-TV-50-BL-02-A is a 50-inch Smart TV focused on low cost, suitable for medium-sized rooms or large bedrooms. It features a VA panel with 4K resolution and HDR10 support, although its brightness is restricted in HDR content, which is typical of entry-level models. The operating system is Android TV, running on a quad-core processor, but there are reports of initial slowness during first use or when installing packages until the system stabilizes.

This model also incorporates the Blue Protect feature to mitigate blue light emission and offers Dolby Audio certified surround sound. Regarding connectivity, it has three HDMI inputs, two USB ports, an Ethernet connection, in addition to Bluetooth 5.1 and Wi-Fi 4 support.

Aiwa AWS-TV-43-BL-02-A

The Aiwa AWS-TV-43-BL-02-A represents good value for money compared to competitors in the same price range. With a D-LED screen and IPS panel, it supports HDR10, providing a good visual experience, especially regarding viewing angles. However, this TV only has Full HD resolution, which puts it at a disadvantage against market models that offer 4K support.

In terms of connectivity, the AWS-TV-43-BL-02-A has two HDMI inputs, two USB ports, optical audio output, and an RJ-45 network input. Its design is elegant thanks to the ultra-thin 1.4 mm bezel, and the support for Blue Protect technology helps reduce blue light emission, preventing eye strain.

Aiwa AWS-TV-24-01-G

The Aiwa AWS-TV-24-01-G is a compact Smart TV, ideal for those seeking portability. Weighing only 4 kg, it is truly portable as it includes an integrated handle and an internal battery that allows up to 3 hours of playback without being connected to the power outlet. This Smart TV has Full HD resolution, which is considered a positive point, given that it is difficult to find models with higher than HD resolution in devices under 40 inches.

The screen of this model features an anti-reflective matte finish, making the viewing experience comfortable in outdoor and well-lit environments. It also supports HDR10 and Blue Protect to reduce blue light. The operating system is Android TV in the Google TV version, offering a better user experience and access to thousands of applications on the Play Store. The AWS-TV-24-01-G has one HDMI input, one USB, an Ethernet network port, and optical audio output.

Aiwa AWS-TV-32-BL-02-A

The Aiwa AWS-TV-32-BL-02-A is a simple 32-inch television, suggested for equipping smaller spaces, such as kitchens, offices, or small bedrooms. This Smart TV boasts an ultra-thin bezel of only 1.4mm, giving it a minimalist look in contrast to other brands' models. Its resolution is only HD (1366 x 768 pixels), but the D-LED IPS panel ensures a wider viewing angle, and the Blue Protect feature helps reduce blue light that causes eye fatigue.

In terms of audio, the Smart TV has two 6W RMS speakers and Dolby Audio support. Like other Aiwa models, the AWS-TV-32-BL-02-A operates with Android TV, ensuring wide application availability. The device includes two HDMI inputs, two USB ports, optical audio output, and an RJ-45 network port.

Criteria for Choosing the Best Aiwa TV

When selecting the best Aiwa TV, it is important to consider that all of them use the Google Android TV operating system. The great advantage of this system is the vast range of available applications, covering practically all streaming services present in the Brazilian market. Furthermore, Aiwa TVs come with built-in Chromecast, facilitating content mirroring from mobile phones.

Aiwa TVs can be a advantageous alternative for consumers with moderate demands, as they offer models with good cost-benefit when compared to more well-known manufacturers. A notable difference is the adoption of Android TV, which grants access to thousands of applications on the Play Store. Aiwa offers one year of warranty in Brazil and maintains a good reputation on Reclame Aqui.

In Brazil, the production of Aiwa TVs is carried out by Grupo MK, which also manufactures the Mondial and XZone brands. It is relevant to note that Aiwa is a Japanese company that licensed its brand to Grupo MK.

The Best Cost-Benefit Option

Among the listed models, the Aiwa AWS-TV-32-BL-02-A stands out as the best cost-benefit option. This 32-inch Smart TV uses Android TV, has an IPS panel, and is indicated for smaller environments, such as kitchens, offices, and bedrooms.

Although TCL is a more established brand in the Brazilian television scene, Aiwa also presents itself as an interesting alternative. The same company behind Aiwa is the manufacturer of the Mondial home appliances. Both companies have good ratings on Reclame Aqui and provide a one-year warranty in Brazilian territory.
