The film 'Ramayana,' directed by Nitesh Tiwari, will soon be available to audiences. Western critics have already reviewed the picture and generally rate it highly. 'Ramayana' is a major project for India due to its budget of 40 billion rupees and the participation of composers such as A. R. Rahman and Oscar winner Hans Zimmer.
Like A. R. Rahman, who is a distinguished artist for India, Hans Zimmer is recognized as a leading Hollywood composer. Films often achieve success solely thanks to his music. Therefore, the news that Hans Zimmer joined the work on 'Ramayana' generated great public interest, which was also fueled by trailer footage showcasing his music.
The creators shared a video showing the soundtrack preparation process involving Hans Zimmer and A. R. Rahman. In this video, producer Namit Malhotra stated that Hans Zimmer agreed to collaborate on 'Ramayana' even without watching the full presentation package of the film.
Namit Malhotra recounted that during the meeting with Hans Zimmer in New York, he prepared all materials about the film, including a full presentation and information about world-building. He noted that after showing only about six or seven slides, Hans stated: 'Namit, fine. I don't need to watch this.' Following this, Hans Zimmer agreed to be part of the film's musical score.
Subsequently, Hans Zimmer commented on the collaboration with A. R. Rahman: 'We are starting a journey together that has never happened before. We are creating music related to an ancient deity and traditions that make India so significant to the West.'
A. R. Rahman also commented on the music production. He specified that they divided the tasks for creating the music. Rahman worked on some songs and themes, while Hans Zimmer took responsibility for other parts. After this, both composers constantly exchanged results of their work, trying to determine the best option for the film.
Regarding the film 'Ramayana' itself, its first part will be released on November 5th and will feature actors such as Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, and Ravi Dubey.
