Delegations from Russia and Ukraine will hold negotiations in Abu Dhabi with the mediation of the United States on November 10–11. The main topics of discussion will be security issues and establishing peace.
According to a message made by U.S. Special Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff on his social network, trilateral talks between Russia, Ukraine, and the US will take place on November 10–11 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Washington will act as a mediator in the working negotiations between the delegations of Russia and Ukraine.
Key issues to be discussed at the meeting include post-war security guarantees, de-escalation, humanitarian problems, and further steps toward achieving peace.
Furthermore, this week American negotiators will meet in Brussels with representatives from France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the European Union, and NATO. At this meeting, security guarantees for Ukraine, the post-war European security architecture, and possibilities for economic support for Ukraine's reconstruction will be discussed.
Steve Witkoff expressed hope for reaching a long-term peace agreement based on the results of previous meetings held in Kyiv, Oslo, and St. Petersburg.
According to Reuters agency reports, based on statements by high-ranking American officials, Stephen Witkoff and Jared Kushner are expected to participate in the negotiations in Abu Dhabi on behalf of the US.
Earlier, Russian Presidential Assistant Yuri Ushakov stated readiness to continue trilateral talks after November 4. In turn, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported an agreement to hold trilateral talks in the first half of November.
It should be noted that the previous trilateral talks between the delegations of Russia, Ukraine, and the US took place on February 17–18 in Geneva, but the parties were unable to resolve the main disagreements.
