The Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Davron Vakhabov, held online negotiations with Mohammed Said, the First Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
The main topic of the meetings was the development of trade and economic ties between Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Syria, as well as establishing direct business contacts between entrepreneurs from these three countries.
As a result of the discussions, the parties agreed to organize an international business forum in Damascus from December 10 to 15. The event will bring together representatives of the business communities of all three states.
The forum's program will include 'business-to-business' (B2B) meetings, focusing on the textile industry, logistics, and food processing. The goal of these meetings is to expand export and import opportunities, find new partners, and promote joint projects.
The Syrian side also stated its readiness to ensure the participation of major Syrian entrepreneurs in the international forum 'New Uzbekistan: Crossroads of World Markets,' scheduled to take place in Tashkent from November 29 to December 5.
The parties agreed to continue working on increasing the level of trade and economic cooperation between the three countries and implementing joint initiatives. The Syrian side expressed full support for the proposals put forward during the negotiations.
