Direct bus service on route No. 300 between Yangiyul and Tashkent resumed

A direct bus service on route No. 300 has been relaunched between Yangiyul and Tashkent. The buses travel from the Yangiyul bus station to the capital's Southern Station, with the cost of one trip set at 5 thousand soms.

This route has a long history, having operated since 1963, but regular services were suspended in June 2026. Following this, local residents and public activists repeatedly submitted appeals demanding the restoration of the familiar transport link.

How the route status has changed

As a result of reviewing these appeals, the route was revised and officially registered as an interregional intercity direction VS-1180, connecting 'ASHB Yangiyul (Tashkent region)' with 'ASHB Southern Station (Tashkent city)'.

During its journey, the buses stop at several locations, including the shoe factory, the printing house, Zhunarik mahalla, as well as near the 'Turkiz', 'Tinchlik', 'Chamanzor' facilities, Tuyabuguz reservoir, 'Kueshli' market, and 'Chilanzar' clothing market.

Passengers have the option to pay for their travel using cash or through the current electronic payment system. It is worth noting that Uzbekistan plans a complete transition to cashless payment for suburban buses and trains.

New section of BRT rapid bus line commissioned in Tashkent

An additional segment of the dedicated lane for rapid bus transport (BRT) has been commissioned in the city of Tashkent, spanning approximately one kilometer.

Thanks to this new section, the total continuous rapid bus route on Shota Rustaveli and Shahrisabz streets has reached nearly eight kilometers. According to information provided by the Road Traffic Organization Center, this new segment runs along Shahrisabz street, starting from the intersection with Amir Temur Avenue and ending at Makhtumkuli Street.

The location of this section is between the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies and City Maternity Complex No. 6. These dedicated lanes occupy the central part of the roadway, allowing buses to move separately from the general traffic flow.

The introduction of BRT is expected to reduce waiting time in traffic jams, increase movement stability, and improve the predictability of journey duration.

City authorities plan to create a unified transport corridor connecting the Sergelyi and Yunusabad districts. Information about further sections and potential traffic adjustments will be provided by the city later.

It should be noted that the previous construction of the BRT on Shahrisabz street led to temporary changes in the routes of five buses: No. 2, 26, 37, 68, and 93, for which detours were organized along neighboring streets.

New bus routes will be launched in Tashkent region connecting Nazarbek and other districts with the capital

Residents of Nazarbek and adjacent territories will find it easier to travel to Tashkent thanks to the planned launch of new bus routes. These routes will provide connections between the Tashkent and Zangiati districts with the capital.

According to information provided by the Main Directorate of Transport and Road Transport Infrastructure Development of Tashkent, the new lines will operate based on a gross contract system that takes into account the actual number of passengers.

New routes and their directions

The following routes have been introduced: Route No. 162, which will run between Kushkundi mahalla and the Chorsu trade center bus station; Route No. 163, connecting Tekstilschiki mahalla with the Chorsu trade center bus station; and Route No. 167, linking the 'Tashkent' collective farm with the Chorsu trade center bus station.

Special emphasis is placed on Route No. 163. It will pass through Tekstilschiki mahalla, Nazarbek, and the Tarnov territory, as well as along Shifobakhsh Suvlar and Beruni streets.

Representatives of the department believe that the introduction of these routes will improve transport accessibility for residents of the Tashkent and Zangiati districts when traveling to the capital. Furthermore, this should contribute to reducing bus waiting times and achieving a more balanced distribution of passenger flow.

To ensure the operation of the new lines, 54 buses manufactured in China by ZHONGTONG are planned for use. These buses are expected to arrive by the end of November 2026. It was previously noted that the coverage rate of mahallas by public transport in Uzbekistan has reached 98.8%.
