Residents of the capital received fake text messages disguised as notifications from Poytaxt Parking. These SMS messages claim that drivers have not paid for parking and suggest using a special link to settle the alleged debt.
Poytaxt Parking officially stated that such notifications are not sent. City residents are strongly advised to ignore these messages, not click on links, and refrain from entering bank card details or vehicle registration numbers.
If anyone has already provided their banking details, they must urgently contact their bank to block the card. Furthermore, it was reminded that the current status of parking payment can only be checked through the service's official mobile application.
For parking-related inquiries, motorists can call 78 113 67 00 or write to the Telegram bot @PoytaxtParkingsupportbot.
Previously, another wave of fraud was observed: amid the process of updating the Uzbek alphabet, malicious actors distributed keyboard installation files with new letters on Telegram. In reality, instead of the advertised application, users received malware capable of stealing passwords, viewing correspondence, and accessing financial information.
