Joinville Christmas 2026 will bring an extensive circuit of Christmas events to the center of the Santa Catarina city. This event will take place from November 14, 2026, until January 3, 2027. Under the theme 'Welcome to the Magic,' the celebration will feature more than fifty days of free programming, including parades, musical performances, tours, and various activities for both children and adults.
This edition introduces innovations, such as an indoor park and a small train that travels through the Christmas scenery, complementing the modernized traditional attractions. The entire program is distributed across nine locations in the central area and is guided by the narrative of the Santa Claus Factory.
The inauguration of Joinville Christmas is scheduled for November 14 and 15 in front of the city hall, featuring a concert that will bring together over 180 local artists. This spectacle will include the participation of the Musicarium Philharmonic Orchestra, the Arte Maior Children and Youth Choir, and the Somos Um Adult Choir, in addition to dancers from the Patricia Dalchau Artistic Movement Company. The overall production involves approximately 300 professionals backstage and three tons of equipment, and it is artistically directed by André Gress, who has been responsible for the event's openings since 2022.
Attractions at Abel Schulz Gymnasium
At the Abel Schulz Gymnasium, the Fun Factory will be set up, a free space offering an indoor park, cookie workshops, children's cinema, and children's games. Furthermore, the structure will include a shop and a cafe with Christmas items, souvenirs, and personalized goods, which will be sold separately.
Another novelty is the Magic Little Train, which will travel through the Christmas circuit in downtown Joinville. This tour starts and ends in front of the National Museum of Immigration and Colonization and is accessible for wheelchair users. The Candy Mill also adds new features with themed sweets inspired by the Christmas period.
The programming also keeps cultural and religious traditions alive. Highlights include the Lantern Walk, where families walk through the streets at night using handmade lanterns, and the Three Kings Meeting, dedicated to the journey of the Three Wise Men, a moment when groups sing traditional verses accompanied by violas, accordions, and acoustic instruments.
Among the returning attractions is the Santa Claus House, located in Praça Dario Salles, in the Santa Claus Village. This year, this location will be expanded, becoming interactive and air-conditioned, with environments replicating the Good Man's residence and Christmas routine.
Enchanted Shop Space
The Enchanted Shop will also provide an exclusive area dedicated to products inspired by the event's universe, aiming to offer thematic souvenirs and gifts to visitors.
Christmas Market in Praça da Bandeira
In Praça da Bandeira, the Christmas Market returns with a renewed setup, gathering various vendors and artisans. Visitors can find gifts, decoration items, sweets, personalized clothing, and other assorted products.
Enchanted Forest
The Enchanted Forest returns to the garden of the National Museum of Immigration and Colonization with a reformed route. This visit combines elements such as lighting, soundtrack, scenography, and immersive installations, guiding the public through the history of the Santa Claus Factory.
Children will have the opportunity to have fun in the Snow Village, which will receive a new interactive structure and decoration inspired by the Joinville Memory Station. In parallel, the carousel in Praça da Bandeira serves children up to 12 years old and has a reserved section for wheelchair users.
One of the most anticipated moments of the program is the Christmas Parade, which will take place on Rio Branco Street on November 27 and 28, and again on December 4, 5, 11, and 12. The processions will feature floats, musicians, dance groups, and iconic characters of the event, such as Chineque, Chimia, the Fritz alligator, and Santa Claus.
For those who prefer artistic and musical performances, the Cultural Stage, located in Praça Nereu Ramos, is the ideal place. From Wednesday to Sunday, from 6 PM to 10 PM, the stage hosts dance groups, music schools, performing arts companies, and independent artists, in addition to hosting the Choir Festival, with regional groups performing Christmas songs. The complete program will be available on the event's official website.
The festive calendar also includes outdoor activities. Among them are the Christmas Bike Ride, a nighttime bicycle tour through the illuminated streets of the center; the HoHo Run race, with night races for adults and children; and the Christmas Viewpoint Gathering, a meeting of people to climb the Joinville Viewpoint.
Joinville Christmas is prepared to welcome people with disabilities. The infrastructure provides adapted toys, Libras interpreters, audio description, and the Welcome & Family Space, intended for comfort and sensory regulation. The carousel will have a specific area for wheelchair users, as will the Magic Little Train, which will ensure accessibility for people with reduced mobility.
