OnePlus introduced the OnePlus Ace 7 series in China on the evening of October 29th. The OnePlus Ace 7 and OnePlus Ace 7 Pro models are equipped with an active cooling fan, a 185Hz display, and a 9000mAh battery. According to information from IT Home and the official sales announcement from OnePlus, both devices became available for purchase after the event.
The main difference between the two smartphones lies in the processors and cameras. The OnePlus Ace 7 Pro uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, while the OnePlus Ace 7 is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series variant, which Qualcomm classifies as a model with a dual GPU instead of a triple one.
Cooling System as a Key Feature
Special attention has been paid to the cooling system. OnePlus describes the air cooling design with two channels: one airflow is directed directly at the chip, and the second cools the back panel. The company claims that after an hour of gaming, the chip temperature can drop to 10 degrees Celsius. In its own tests, the phones showed an average frame rate of 184.9 frames per second in Game for Peace and Delta Force modes at 185 frames per second; peak temperatures were 38.7 and 40.2 degrees Celsius, respectively. Furthermore, OnePlus states that the Ace 7 Pro can maintain the full frame rate in the Delta Force game at 185 frames per second from full charge to complete battery depletion.
The 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO display is made from a new X4 emissive material developed exclusively for OnePlus by BOE, and it is the same generation of panel as in the OnePlus 16. It operates at a frequency of 165Hz across the entire system and reaches 185Hz in supported games, while also supporting PWM dimming at 3840Hz. Three internal chips are used to support gaming: the P4 display chip, the T3 touch chip, which, according to OnePlus, reduces stick swipe latency by 80% and touch latency by 43%, and the G3 network chip.
Both devices feature a 200MP main camera. The Pro model additionally includes a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom and supports 4K video recording at 120fps, 8K at 30fps, and Log mode recording. The standard version, conversely, is equipped with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera instead of a telephoto lens. The 9000mAh battery supports 100W wired charging and a bypass charging function for use while connected to power. Both phones run on ColorOS 17 and have a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, as well as meet IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings.
The price of the OnePlus Ace 7 is 4399 yuan for the 12GB + 256GB configuration, 4899 yuan for 16GB + 256GB, 5199 yuan for 12GB + 512GB, and 5699 yuan for 16GB + 512GB. The OnePlus Ace 7 Pro is offered at prices of 4799, 5299, 5599, and 5999 yuan for these same four configurations, and is also available for 7299 yuan with 16GB + 1TB memory.
