In Tehran, Mohammad Nohodi from Iran won the silver medal at the 2026 World Wrestling Championship, which took place on Sunday.
In the final match in the men's freestyle weight category of 79 kg, Nohodi lost to American wrestler Levi Haines with a score of 4:3.
Bronze medals were received by Makhamethabib Kadzimakhamedov from Belarus and Ismail Khaniev from Russia.
Additionally, Amirmohammad Yazdani won a bronze medal in the 74 kg category. He defeated Slovak wrestler Tajmuraz Salkazanov with a score of 5:4 in the bronze medal match.
