Escorts Kubota reports 10% drop in tractor sales in October

Escorts Kubota Ltd announced on Sunday a 10% decrease in total tractor sales compared to last year, reaching 16,921 tractors in October, whereas the figure was 18,798 units the previous year.

The company's domestic tractor sales also showed a decline, decreasing by 10.9% to 16,412 tractors compared to 18,423 units during the same period last year.

Nevertheless, the company's product exports showed an increase of 35.7%, rising to 509 units in October, compared to 375 units in the previous year.

The company noted that the industry experienced some stabilization in October 2026, which was attributed to a high base level, changes in holiday schedules, and disruptions related to monsoons. Furthermore, the company stated in its press release that increased raw material costs due to geopolitical events and subsequent price adjustments may lead to a slowdown in demand in the near future.
