Casa Linden Project developed by Schemata Architects

The Dromgariff Rainforest is a project coordinated by Bryan and Tara Meehan, focused on the restoration of the gardens and the forest. This area constitutes one of the last ancient oak tropical forests in Ireland and is classified as a protected Special Area of Conservation, covering the southern part of the country.

Historically, the site was once home to the Roche's Royal Hotel and its gardens. Although the hotel no longer exists, elements of its former landscape are still visible in the forest, such as stone walls, terraces, stone steps, and a garden called Rockery.

Creasvalley CC Clubhouse Project by LJL Architects

The design team described that even an artificially created terrain can evolve into a landscape over time. Elements such as topography, vegetation, lighting, and seasonal variations create a defined structure where architecture can integrate.

The clubhouse concept was developed not as something isolated to be observed from the outside, but rather as an intermediate element that allows experiencing the location through interaction with the relief, viewpoints, and the connection between internal and external spaces. The project originated from the analysis of this natural order present at the site and the investigation of how architecture could interact with it.

Aalok Country House Project by Nodecraft Studio in Bengaluru

The Aalok Farmhouse, conceived by the project team, is a three-bedroom country house located near Bengaluru. The project proposes a reinterpretation of the traditional country house typology, using a series of autonomous pavilions interconnected through landscaping.

Instead of considering the outdoor area as a mere continuation of the built structure, the design allows elements such as patios, trees, and open thresholds to define the architecture itself. The residence was planned to serve both as a family retreat and a venue for professional meetings.

This need to reconcile privacy with the possibility of collective interaction motivated the project team to abandon the usual country house format, characterized by closed rooms connected by internal corridors. Instead, circulation was directed outdoors, transforming movement into a succession of shaded paths, patios, and framed views.
