Uzbekistan Tax Committee Participates in IOTA Cybersecurity Conference

Specialists from the Uzbekistan Tax Committee are participating in the seventh annual international event of the Intra-European Organization of Tax Administrations (IOTA), which is dedicated to issues of information protection and cybersecurity.

The conference is being held in Budapest, Hungary, on October 29 and 30, 2026. Participants are discussing methods for ensuring the cybersecurity of tax authorities amid the process of digitalization of public administration.

Key topics under consideration during the event include modern approaches to protecting information systems, detecting and preventing cyber threats, and applying artificial intelligence for monitoring potential threats and automating incident response in the field of information security.

Separate sessions are dedicated to assessing risks associated with the use of artificial intelligence in tax administration, secure management of digital infrastructure, and improving mechanisms for responding to cyberattacks. Furthermore, participants are discussing ways to foster a culture of information security among tax authority employees.

Attendance at the conference will provide specialists from the Tax Committee with the opportunity to familiarize themselves with international experience and practical solutions for protecting information systems. The acquired knowledge is planned to be used for further strengthening the agency's information security system, increasing the resilience of its digital infrastructure to cyber threats, and protecting tax information as the range of state digital services expands.
