As part of the Uzbek-Spanish business forum, the Spanish delegation visited agricultural enterprises in the Tashkent region of Uzbekistan. The purpose of the trip was to study modern technologies used for growing vegetables, fruits, and ornamental plants, as well as to seek opportunities for further cooperation.
The first stop was the greenhouse complex of Agrohouse LLC in the Tashkent district. This facility covers an area of 7 hectares and is involved in the production of tomato, cucumber, bell pepper seedlings, and other agricultural crops, as well as various ornamental flowers.
Company representatives provided the Spanish delegation with a presentation of their production processes, highlighting the capabilities of the greenhouses, cultivation technologies, and operating conditions.
Next, the delegation inspected the intensive fruit complex belonging to Eko Agro Product LLC, located in the Yukori Chirchik district. The total area of this complex is 140 hectares.
On this territory, 91 hectares are dedicated to apple orchards, 25 hectares to pears, and 11 hectares to peaches. Additionally, 4 hectares each are allocated for apricots and plums.
One of the key points of interest was the drip irrigation system installed throughout the orchard. This technology ensures that water is delivered directly to the plants, which contributes to increasing the efficiency of water resource use.
The complex is also equipped with storage facilities and cold rooms for preserving harvested products. During the visits, Spanish representatives studied Uzbekistan's experience in developing greenhouse and intensive horticulture, including the practical application of advanced agricultural technologies. The parties also discussed potential areas for future interaction in the field of agriculture.
