The Iguaçu National Park has prepared a special schedule for the All Souls' Day holiday, which will take place from Saturday (31st) to Monday (2nd). During this period, the unit will be open one hour earlier, starting at 8 am and closing at 4 pm.
The special agenda includes musical performances that will take place both at the Visitor Center, between 11 am and 3 pm, and at the Porto Canoas Space, between 12 pm and 4 pm. Additionally, there will be the Iguaçu National Park Fair on Saturday, operating from 9 am to 4 pm at the Visitor Center. At this fair, about 20 producers, artisans, and merchants from 14 neighboring cities display various products, such as crochet pieces and regional themed decoration items.
One of the highlights of the visit during the holiday will be the power of the waterfalls. Following recent rains in the Iguaçu River basin, the Falls reached a flow rate of 8.4 million liters per second on Friday morning (30th), exceeding the historical average of 1.5 million liters per second by more than five times. This intensity allows observation of the falls from the Cataratas Trail viewpoints.
However, due to the strength of the current, certain areas remain temporarily closed, including the Cataratas Boardwalk, the São João Circuit, the Usina Space, and the paths of Poço Preto and Bananeiras. Accessible routes include the Cataratas Trail, the Canafístula Trail, and the Cataratas Bike Path, which offer different ways to appreciate the park's landscape.
The specific operating hours for the open routes are: Cataratas Trail until 5:30 pm; Cataratas Bike Path until 5 pm; and Canafístula Trail until 5 pm. The closed circuits are: São João Circuit, Poço Preto Path, Bananeiras Path, and Yetepopo Trail.
For those wishing to visit the Falls outside regular hours, special activities are scheduled for Saturday (31st). The Sunrise at the Falls event starts at 5:30 am, Sunset at the Falls is scheduled for 5 pm, and Sky at the Falls begins at 7 pm. These activities have separate tickets, available for purchase on the park's official website.
In terms of food, two options are operational during the holiday: the Cocar Restaurant, located in the Visitor Center, operates from 11:30 am to 4 pm, and the Canoas Mirim Restaurant, at the Porto Canoas Space, operates from 12 pm to 4 pm. Both restaurants offer buffet service, with desserts and juices charged separately.
The Iguaçu National Park is located on Highway BR-469, Km 18, in Foz do Iguaçu. The special operating period is from October 31st to November 2nd, from 8 am to 4 pm. Ticket prices vary: starting from R$ 118 for one day, R$ 187 for two days, and R$ 245 for three days, all available on the official website. There are also special packages, such as Sunrise at the Falls with breakfast starting from R$ 295, Sunset at the Falls with drinks starting from R$ 245, and Sky at the Falls starting from R$ 550.
