Toyota is set to introduce its new Innova Hycross in the Indian market soon, and the company has also set a launch date for it. However, this vehicle was launched in Indonesia before India, where Toyota sells it under the name Kijang Innova Genix. Several changes have been made to this MPV that might also be seen in the versions coming to India.
The hybrid version of this car is equipped with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, while the V Hybrid grade features a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. In Indonesia, the price of this car is set at 47.54 million Indonesian Rupiah (which is approximately equivalent to 2.487 lakh rupees). The V Hybrid variant is priced at 51.7 million IDR.
The most significant change in the car has been made to the interior. The non-hybrid version comes with a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, but it also includes a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, which comes with in-car Wi-Fi support. This car is available with a 360-degree camera in Indonesia.
Regarding other features, the company has added electric adjustable driver seats, dual-channel dashcams, power folding ORVMs, and updated telematics. Conversely, the company has removed some features such as an entertainment system and wireless charger on the rear seat.
In terms of exterior design, the car features an attractive front splitter, side body cladding, and side steps. There has been no change to the car's engine; it has a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine like before, which works with a self-charging hybrid system.
This car now uses a nickel-based lithium-ion battery, and it is possible that the car may arrive in India with these same features. There is also discussion about the car's flex-fuel version, which Toyota might launch on November 26th. In India, this car could come with a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment system, along with the in-car Wi-Fi, dashcam, and other features present in the Indonesian version.
