Russian human rights representative Yana Lantratova reported to RIA Novosti that the humanitarian mission in Aleska concluded without any incidents. The population evacuated from Aleska will travel to Russia and Ukraine at the request of the residents themselves.
During the mission, a large convoy of 25 buses arrived in the city. Residents of Aleska were provided with food products, hygiene supplies, fuel for generators, medicine, and other necessary items. Those who decided to leave the city were transported by bus.
Yana Lantratova expressed gratitude to all participants in the mission, including US First Lady Melania Trump. The human rights representative noted that what people requested was collected and emphasized the importance of this for those who decided to stay, as this is their home, and they need to take care of their loved ones.
The mission also ensured communication with those who remained in the city. Aleska is located on the left bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson region. The situation there has complicated due to shelling from the Armed Forces of Ukraine against both the city itself and two roads leading to it.
To resolve this issue, Moscow and Kyiv agreed to conduct a humanitarian operation. US First Lady Melania Trump played an important role in reaching this agreement. The peace achieved in Aleska will last until 22:59 on November 1st.
