Nano-core Chip, a developer of chips for artificial intelligence inference, based in Hangzhou, announced on October 28 that it raised over 1 billion yuan in its Series C2 funding round.
JianTou Investment led this round, with participation from Hangzhou Capital, Kaitai Capital, and other investors.
The company plans to use the raised funds for product development and preparation for mass production. Nano-core Chip was founded in 2021 and was incubated at the research institute of Peking University in Zhejiang Province.
The company creates chips that integrate three components: three-dimensional computing with near memory, in-memory computing, and RISC-V-based processing.
The company's product range is oriented towards both devices and cloud infrastructure. It was stated that the first three chips have passed the tape-out stage, and customer sample selection and initial volume shipments are planned for early 2027. This latest funding followed a Series C1 round of 1 billion yuan announced in September.
