The city of Pretoria is preparing for a busy day thanks to the G-FORCE festival, which will be held at Wonderboom Airport on Saturday, October 31st. The event will combine aviation demonstrations, motorsport competitions, and family entertainment programs.
This festival promises to be an adrenaline-filled day, offering visitors the chance to see high-performance aircraft, race cars, acrobatic maneuvers, and freestyle motocross tricks. Among the expected events are races between airplanes and high-performance cars on the runway, as well as demonstrations by low-flying acrobatic pilots and a helicopter flyover.
The festival will feature a wide range of aircraft, including modern aerobatic machines, historic planes, and World War II military aircraft. South African acrobatic pilots will showcase their skills through precise maneuvers, tight formations, and air shows, highlighting various aspects of the local aviation scene. The combination of modern and vintage aircraft will give aviation enthusiasts a chance to watch different generations of aviation in action.
The aerial performance is scheduled from 10:00 to 15:00, providing guests with five hours of aerial spectacle.
Despite the sky being dominated by aircraft, many activities are also planned on the ground. One of the main attractions will be a race between planes and cars, where they will compete in speed along the runway. The program also includes pylon racing, where pilots will navigate the course at low altitude. Helicopter demonstrations and performances by Jungle X riders in freestyle motocross will conclude the program, offering motorsport and adrenaline lovers much to see between flights.
In addition to engines and aerial stunts, G-FORCE FESTIVAL is positioned as an event suitable for family recreation. Children can enjoy trampolines and entertainment, while adults can view all exhibits, soak up the festival atmosphere, and visit the tent bar. Regardless of whether visitors are interested in aviation, motorsport, or simply looking for something unusual to do on the weekend, the program offers diverse activities for different ages and interests.
Gates will open at 8:00, allowing visitors to arrive before the first flights and prepare for the day's events.
