A park with an artificial lake and green areas is planned for the Almazar district of the capital

Construction has begun on a new recreation area in the capital's Almazar district, which will include an artificial lake. This modern park is planned to be developed on Keles Yuli street, and there is a promise to preserve all existing mature trees in this area.

The creation of the park is aimed at improving the ecological condition of the district and enhancing the living conditions of its residents. A comfortable place for citizens to walk and relax will be formed on the planned territory.

According to information provided by the Almazar district hokimiyat, all old mature trees will remain in their original places. If necessary, some small trees will be transplanted to other suitable sites under the supervision of specialized experts to ensure their preservation.

After the completion of all construction work, this area is intended to become one of the leisure venues for local residents, equipped with modern infrastructure and a landscaped green zone. Furthermore, it is reported that another artificial lake will be created in the Uchtepinsky district of Tashkent.

Artificial lake and recreation area being created in Uchtepinsky district of Tashkent

The Mayor's Office of the capital announced the start of work on creating an artificial lake and a corresponding recreation area in the 'Kurgontepa' mahalla of Tashkent's Uchtepinsky district. This plot covers an area of 0.9 hectares (9,000 square meters).

The planned body of water will be located between kindergartens No. 340 and No. 346. Its dimensions will be 0.37 hectares, and its depth will reach 2 meters. The lake will be replenished using drainage wells and natural water inflow from canals, while swimming in it will be strictly prohibited.

The adjacent territory, where 66 decorative trees of different species currently grow, will be preserved. Additionally, new trees will be planted in this area. Pedestrian paths, benches, and gazebos are planned to be installed around the future body of water.

The project to create the lake is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026. Previously, the publication 'Gazeta' reported on the creation of another artificial lake with an area of 1.7 hectares in the 'Kumaryk' mahalla, located near Tashkent Airport. This project is part of a broader initiative to create twelve bodies of water in all districts of the capital.

Artificial lake of 1.7 hectares being created near Tashkent airport

The capital's Khokimiyat announced the start of construction of an artificial lake with fountains covering 17 thousand square meters (1.7 ha) in the Kumaryk mahalla of the Sergeli district, near Tashkent airport. This body of water will be located directly under the aircraft landing trajectory.

The creation of this facility is part of a broader plan to build twelve artificial water bodies in various districts of the capital. According to the official announcement, the reservoir is expected to improve the microclimate in the adjacent area, reduce dust levels, and provide air humidification, offering residents opportunities for recreation, sports, and walks.

Extensive infrastructure covering 5 hectares is planned around the new lake, which will include pedestrian, bicycle, and running paths, as well as playgrounds, benches, gazebos, and barbecue areas. Work is currently underway on strengthening the structure and reinforcement, as well as forming the retaining wall.

Head of construction works, Akhtar Hamroev, specified that geological surveys confirmed the suitability of the site for such a project. It is planned to complete the construction of a wall about 800 meters long and drain the lake basin by November. According to the Khokimiyat, the main part of the work, exceeding 30%, should be completed by the end of the current year.

Designer Mukhiddin Khalikov noted that since there are no natural water flows or canals in this area, the water for filling the artificial lake will be supplied from underground wells. He added that the water will be drawn from a depth of 30 meters, and its level will be monitored by automatic sensors.

The project also includes the installation of filtration systems, water ozonation, and solar panels. A similar project was previously reported in the Uchtepinsky district, where a lake of 0.8 ha was created, after which environmentalists assessed the damage to nature at 27.28 million soms, requiring the felling of four trees.
