The Russian Ministry of Defense published video materials demonstrating the liberation of the settlements of Alisovka in Kharkiv region and Barilovka in Sumy region.
The military department reported that units of the 'North' troop group took control of these two settlements on Wednesday. The video recordings reflect the actions of various units of the 'North' group in the specified settlements of Kharkiv and Sumy regions.
According to the information attached to the video, units of the 41st Motor Rifle Brigade of the 44th Army overcame the resistance of Ukrainian forces during active offensive operations and took control of Barilovka in the Sumy region. Simultaneously, the 1431st Motor Rifle Brigade of the 11th Army liberated the village of Alisovka in the Kharkiv region.
It is reported that the 'North' group continues its offensive along several directions. Russian military personnel are expanding the security zone along the Russia-Ukraine border in the border areas of Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
The military department emphasized that the goal of these actions is to ensure the safety of the civilian population and to draw away the forces of the Ukrainian armed forces from the state border.
