The growth rate of industrial production decreased to 6.7% in September compared to the previous month. The main reason for this slowdown was sluggish dynamics in the manufacturing sector and the mining industry.
According to an official report, the Industrial Production Index (IPI) showed an 8% growth in August based on a new data series that came into effect on April 1. In September 2026, the IPI showed an annual growth of 6.7%. This figure was supported by a 7.6% growth in the manufacturing sector and a steady increase in the electricity and gas supply sector by 11.2%.
It is worth noting that in August, the growth in the manufacturing sector was 8.6%. The base year for the new data series is 2022-23.
