Triumph has introduced an updated version of its powerful touring motorcycle, the Triumph Tiger 1200. The company has made several changes to this model. On the global market, the Triumph Tiger 1200 will be available in four variants: GT Pro, GT Explorer, Rally Pro, and Rally Explorer.
For the Indian market, Triumph plans to launch this model in March 2027, where it will be offered in two versions—the GT Pro and Rally Explorer. The motorcycle features a new design, including changes to the fuel tank structure, radiator shroud, beak, and windscreen, giving it a fresh appearance.
At its core is a liquid-cooled 1160 cc engine, which delivers 158 hp and 130 Nm of torque. This combination of power and torque is comparable to the specifications of some automobiles.
Compared to the previous version, the Tiger 1200 offers 8 hp more power. Triumph achieved this increase through a redesign of the cylinder heads, pistons, and exhaust system. The motorcycle is equipped with a refined six-speed gearbox.
Structurally, it features a 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel. Cast aluminum wheels are used on the GT models, while spoked wheels are employed on the rally variants. The overall weight of the motorcycle is approximately 250 kg, although the Rally Explorer version weighs 268 kg.
The premium models feature a 20-liter fuel tank, while the Explorer has a 30-liter tank. Additional options include a tire pressure monitoring system and lower engine elements. The motorcycle is equipped with heated seats for both the rider and passenger. The Tiger 1200 is fitted with front and rear radar systems, as well as features such as adaptive cruise control, group riding assistance, and forward collision warning.
