Vanguard celebrates 20 years with artistic intervention that transforms facade into work of art

Vanguard is celebrating two decades of existence with an artistic intervention that renews the brand's facade in Campo Grande. This work, created in collaboration with artist Rabisco Easy, introduces urban art into the city's landscape, representing the identity built by the construction company over twenty years.

The initiative reflects a symbolic proposal to narrate the company's history not only through the projects completed but also through a language capable of generating new perceptions and establishing different ties with the city.

For Rabisco Easy, the project fulfilled a long-held desire to paint a wall that had interested him before the partnership. The artist stated that despite challenges, such as rain and other unforeseen events, developing the art with Vanguard was a very positive experience. He expressed great satisfaction in integrating Vanguard's identity into his artistic style while maintaining its essence, considering the project a milestone in his career.

An identity that began in Campo Grande

Vanguard's connection to Campo Grande dates back to the brand's founding. In fact, the name itself was inspired by Colégio Avant Garde, a local reference that helped define the new company's identity twenty years ago.

The first project launched in the capital was Garden San Francisco, located in the São Francisco neighborhood, consisting of two towers. This development initiated a trajectory that, in subsequent years, expanded to new locations, projects, and concepts.

Other developments that were part of this expansion include Garden das Palmeiras, Piazza do Bosque, Garden Botanic, Upper Gran Park, LIV Parque dos Poderes, and Acqua Verano, contributing to the various chapters of the brand's activity in Campo Grande.

An operation that goes beyond developments

During these twenty years, Vanguard's presence in Campo Grande has also manifested in actions aimed at preserving and transforming urban areas.

A notable example is the environmental recovery carried out near a Permanent Preservation Area (APP). This action arose from the decision to go beyond legal obligations, returning a revitalized area integrated into the urban environment to the city.

In an area that lacked trees and had a silted creek, interventions were implemented to recover the banks, contain the creek, and plant seedlings. Currently, this area hosts over 61 species of trees, and the vegetation helps retain about 75 tons of carbon annually, in addition to improving thermal comfort, reducing heat islands, optimizing air and water quality, and promoting local fauna.

The concern for balancing urban growth with environmental conservation is also visible in more recent initiatives, such as the Project Raízes, by Grupo Plaenge, which includes sustainable development activities in the city. One of these actions consisted of transplanting a jabuticaba tree over 30 years old, originally planted by an old resident, done with special care to ensure the tree's continued life in a new location.

This initiative reflects a consolidated vision over the two decades: city development must include the recognition and protection of the elements that make up its history and landscape.

36 towers delivered and new ways of living

The company's trajectory reached a new level in 2026. In June, Vanguard completed the delivery of OUSE Natural Home, totaling 36 towers delivered in Campo Grande.

This development, located in the Via Park region, comprises a residential tower and a vast area of studios, interconnected by various circulation levels and common areas. From Garden San Francisco to OUSE Natural Home, the projects illustrate not only the brand's evolution but also the changes in how people inhabit, live, and interact with the city. At various times, this journey was marked by the search for solutions, languages, and experiences that surpassed conventional approaches and kept pace with social and Campo Grande transformations.

A history built by many hands

Over twenty years, this history has been built collectively. Professionals from various fields have contributed to transforming projects into new urban chapters, while finding in the company an environment to learn, face challenges, and advance in their careers.

Besides the delivered properties, Vanguard's 20 years are also represented by the people who grew up with the company and who today apply this experience in different phases of their professional lives.

Valeria Gabas, Business Unit Director, mentioned that the anniversary holds personal significance for her, as her career began with the brand itself, in Campo Grande. She went through the regional leadership of Vanguard and currently holds the position of unit director. Gabas stated that talking about Vanguard's 20 years is revisiting a history in which she participated from an early age, witnessing the brand's growth and maturity and following the changes in Campo Grande. For her, the legacy resides not only in the developments but above all in the bonds established with clients, teams, and the city, which generates pride and motivates looking toward the future.

Vanessa Scaff, Vanguard Regional Superintendent, emphasized that celebrating this milestone implies reflecting on the new needs of the population and the city. Scaff pointed out that the 20 years allow recognizing what has been built, but also planning for the future. She emphasized that as people and Campo Grande have evolved, the way of living also changes, making it crucial for the company to remain attentive to these transformations to develop relevant projects for the city and for people's lives.

A story that continues beyond the obvious

Completing 20 years, Vanguard has 36 towers delivered in the capital, a diversified portfolio of projects, and an operation that accompanies urban transformations and changes in lifestyles. This continuity is manifested in new launches, such as Muv.in, Vivet, and Mondo.

The art created by Rabisco Easy now materializes this trajectory in the urban landscape. By uniting the brand's identity with the artist's original language, the facade reinforces an intrinsic characteristic since the beginning: the willingness to experiment, seek new perspectives, and create connections that transcend the limits of the developments.

More than marking a date, the intervention celebrates a history built by many and paves the way for the next chapters. For Vanguard, completing two decades means remaining focused on the city, the people, and the future, exploring them from new angles.

Unusual dish sold in China: eggs in tartlets decorated with insects

An unusual appetizer has caused a stir in one restaurant in China, generating significant discussion on social media. The dish is an egg tart topped with large insects resembling cockroaches. Following the appearance of photos, public reaction has been divided: some express shock, while others show interest in tasting it.

However, the restaurant owner explained that the insects used in the tartlets are not cockroaches but a specific type of water beetle that is edible.

This exotic food is available at a restaurant located in the Shunde district of Guangdong province in China. Sales of this dish, named 'Eggs in Tartlets with Water Cockroach,' began in early October 2026. The egg tart itself is a sweet pastry with a delicate and creamy filling, but the restaurant adds uniqueness by placing a fully fried insect on top.

Photos of this dish have gone viral on Chinese social media due to its unusual appearance and name, prompting people to learn more about it. According to reports, one set of three such tartlets costs 28 Chinese yuan, equivalent to approximately 350 rupees.

According to the restaurant owner, Pan, the insect used in this dish is not actually a cockroach. It is a type of beetle that lives in water and is called a 'diving beetle.' In some regions of Southern China, there is a tradition of consuming it, and it is also used in traditional Chinese medicine.

According to traditional beliefs, this beetle is beneficial for the skin and kidneys and may help improve blood circulation. Nevertheless, scientific evidence is required to confirm these claims.

The restaurant owner stated that the process of creating this dish begins with removing the odor from the insects. They are then fried in oil at a specific temperature until crispy. The wings of the insects are left intact to maintain their characteristic appearance. After this, the fried insects are placed on top of the egg tart, and the dish is served. In the owner's opinion, the combination of the tartlet's sweet taste with the salty and crunchy taste of the insect is comparable to putting crispy potato chips on a tart.

People's opinions on this dish are mixed. Some feel discomfort at the thought of eating it, while others are eager to experience its unique flavor. According to the publication, visitors come from places such as Guangzhou and Hong Kong to try this snack. The restaurant owner claims to sell about twenty such sets daily.

Many users on social media have expressed surprise, noting the resemblance of the insect to a cockroach, which makes the idea of eating it impossible for them. Others view this phenomenon in the context of Southern Chinese culinary culture. Currently, attention to this dish is drawn not so much by its taste as by its appearance and the ingredient used, demonstrating how attempts to bring novelty to the gastronomic sphere can become a subject of wide public discussion online.
