Liliana Cardoso, currently the Secretary of Culture of Porto Alegre, was announced this Tuesday (27) by the elected governor Luciano Zucco (PL) to lead the state department during his administration, with a start date scheduled for January 2027.
Governor Zucco declared that Cardoso is a reference in traditionalism and that Gaúcho culture will receive priority like never before. He emphasized the importance of working together to reinforce this traditionalism.
The declamator herself, upon accepting the invitation, stated that she received the assignment with great awareness and responsibility, reiterating that culture is 'vibrant, lively, and strong'.
Currently, Liliana Cardoso, who holds the position of Secretary of Culture of Porto Alegre, has a notable history, boasting 180 trophies won in recitation competitions at rodeos. She won the Fegart/Enart title five times and the International Rodeo of Vacaria twice. Furthermore, in 2021, she was named patron of the Farroupilha Month.
