Evo Brazil 2027 disclosed on Tuesday, the 27th, the first titles that will be part of its debut in Brazil. The event is scheduled to take place between March 26 and 28, 2027, at the Expo Center Norte, located in São Paulo. The organization guaranteed a minimum total prize pool of R$ 1 million, which will be distributed among the various championships.
The competitive schedule will include a total of eight games, bringing together well-known franchises from the fighting game scene and recent releases. Furthermore, it was announced that both competitor registrations and ticket sales began this same Tuesday (27).
In addition to formal competitions, Evo Brazil will offer various activities aimed at the fighting game community, known as FGC (Fighting Game Community). Among the confirmed highlights are the Evo Museum, a space dedicated to cosplay exhibitions, fan and artist meetups, and merchandise sales areas.
Another important initiative is BYOC (Bring Your Own Community), which will allow for tournaments organized directly by the community itself, covering games not part of the official competitive lineup.
Evo's arrival in Brazil is seen as recognition of the long tradition of fighting games in the country. Rick Thiher, Evo's general manager, highlighted the relevance of São Paulo in the history of fighting games, mentioning the importance of arcades and the Versus: Evo South America tournaments held in 2008 and 2009.
It is important to note that the R$ 1 million value refers to the minimum total amount guaranteed for the games, and not the individual prize money for each competition, as the distribution of these amounts among the modalities has not yet been detailed by the organization.
Those interested in participating in the championships or attending the event can register and buy tickets through the official website https://www.evobrazil.gg/, with a start date scheduled for October 27, 2026. Those who cannot be present physically will have the option to follow the competitions through Evo's official channels on YouTube and Twitch.
The Evolution Championship Series, founded in 2002, promotes international open-format fighting game tournaments, allowing participation from players of all levels. This Brazilian edition will mark the first time the event takes place in the national territory.
