Trívia Trens begins operation of lines 11 and 12 under CPTM supervision in Alto Tietê

Trívia Trens started its operations on lines 11-Coral and 12-Safira this Monday, the 26th, under the supervision of the Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos (CPTM). The complete transition of the operation is scheduled to occur on November 26th, provided the concessionaire meets the conditions stipulated by the regulatory agency.

In this initial phase, responsibility for driving the trains rests with Trívia Trens, while CPTM monitors operational activities and the service provided to passengers. The process is overseen by the São Paulo State Transport Regulatory Agency (Artesp).

According to the schedule validated by the agency, the supervised operation will extend until November 25th. During this period, there are no forecasts of changes in schedules, train intervals, or line connections.

Trívia Trens was removed after incidents

Trívia had taken over lines 11-Coral, 12-Safira, and 13-Jade on July 21st, but was suspended from operations just three days later, by order of Artesp, due to failures recorded right at the beginning of the concession.

The identified problems included electrical failures and an incident involving fire on a train. At this moment, CPTM resumed management of the three lines, and the concessionaire returned to the pre-operational phase of the contract.

While suspended, Trívia focused on conducting both operational and maintenance training for trains, vehicles, and equipment. Furthermore, Artesp requested a detailed action plan from the company, which included reviewing procedures, strengthening team qualification, and improving emergency protocols.
