The book 'Viver é melhor que sonhar – Os últimos caminhos de Belchior' was officially reissued on Monday, October 26th, which coincides with the 80th birthday of Antonio Carlos Belchior (born October 26, 1946, died April 30, 2017).
This edition is the result of extensive journalistic work by authors Chris Fuscaldo and Marcelo Bortoloti. The journalists followed the artist's route during his travels through southern Brazil and Uruguay. This trip began in 2007 accompanied by producer Edna Assunção de Araújo, who was Belchior's companion on this journey, and concluded ten years later, in 2017, with the artist's death at the age of 70.
Those who purchased the first edition of 'Viver é melhor que sonhar – Os últimos caminhos de Belchior,' released in 2021 in collaboration with the publishers Garota FM Books and Sonora, do not need to repurchase it, as the main narrative material remains unchanged.
In addition to the text by Ana Canhas, the singer whose career gained new momentum in 2022 thanks to a tour where she performed Belchior's songs in nearly 180 Brazilian cities, the only addition is a four-page epilogue. In it, the authors attempt to assess the scale of Belchior's cult over the last five years. It is worth noting that the cover, created by Renan Valadares, looks more appealing than the cover of the original 2021 edition.
