The city of Varanasi hosted the celebrations for the 94th Day of the Indian Air Force. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh attended the Indian Air Force air show as part of the 'Wings over Ganges' event in Varanasi on October 25.
During the display, aircraft such as the Rafale and the Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) Prachand, along with the Sarang helicopter demonstration team, participated. Aircraft from the Navy and Army also took part in the event, demonstrating coordination among the three services.
This event took place against the backdrop of the Indian Air Force's emphasis on synergy and integration as the armed forces prepare for future multi-domain conflicts. Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, noted that the three services must work more closely, and dramatization should focus on the effective use of air power within an integrated structure.
