The Herdade da Matinha Country House, located between the cork oak and the Vicentine Coast, was developed from an unoccupied Alentejo farmhouse, retaining a chimney dating back to 1917.
The rural tourism venture was conceived by SABRAB Architecture in collaboration with the owner Alfredo Moreira da Silva. The central concept of the project is based on utilizing pre-existing elements, adding only what is strictly necessary, following the same philosophy of resource moderation typical of Alentejo rural architecture.
