Canva announced the launch of Canva Craft, its first cutting-edge artificial intelligence for image generation. This model was developed and trained by Canva Research, the company's internal laboratory.
With this new feature, the platform establishes itself as the second most advanced AI laboratory globally in this category, according to DesignArena, which is considered the industry's main collaborative evaluator.
The tool is already available worldwide both on the platform itself and through a public API intended for developers. It has the capability to produce 2K resolution images in any screen aspect ratio, ensuring that creators of all levels have exact control and completely editable results.
Designed to assist with both professional projects and visual explorations, the tool was built to support a base of over 250 million users who generate approximately 400 designs every second. To achieve this, Canva invested in innovative architecture and high computational efficiency.
Currently, all Canva users can access Canva Craft via the panel called Dream Lab, located in the bottom left corner of the platform interface. The company emphasizes that this first iteration of Craft is just the beginning, indicating that faster versions are being prepared. Canva's goal is to continuously raise standards of quality, detail, and control, focusing on improvements in elements such as minuscule typography and technical drawings.
