Actress Adriana Lessa, known for her role as 'Goddess' in the TV Globo soap opera O Clone, visited Rio Branco, in Acre, for the first time. During her stay, she participated in a chat with g1 and shared impressions about the culture, cuisine, and her character's relationship with the North Region.
Upon visiting the headquarters of Rede Amazônica Acre this Saturday (24th), Lessa expressed great admiration for the Acrean people, describing them as welcoming, and praised the state's natural beauty. She stated: 'It's the first time I'm here in this incredible state, with these wonderful people, this very welcoming people too. And nature, what can I say about nature? How beautiful.'
Regarding the soap opera O Clone, written by Glória Perez, Lessa recalled that the character Goddess is the mother of Léo, played by Murilo Benício. The plot involves a cloning experiment conducted by the scientist Albieri, who was played by Juca de Oliveira. The actress mentioned that Goddess has a connection to the North through her mother, Dona Mocinha, played by Ruth de Souza, and that the character sought Northern roots in moments of anguish.
Lessa defended the character, saying that although she was criticized for being naive, the idea of cloning was later recognized as a crime. She added that Goddess was directed to the North Region at the request of author Glória Perez, who is from Acre.
Although the character's scenes in the region were filmed in Globo studios and not in Acre, Lessa expressed sadness for not having known the state during filming but was happy to be there now.
The artist also showed great appreciation for the local gastronomy, praising the flavors and, in particular, the fish from Acre. She commented: 'Speaking of aromas, flavors, and colors, I loved it. And the fish here, people, how wonderful, a delight.' Lessa plans to try baixaria, a typical dish made with cornmeal, ground meat, egg, and spices.
Additionally, Lessa highlighted the pride of the Acre inhabitants and the importance of knowing diverse cultures during the show's tour across the country, declaring satisfaction in being in a young state of the same age as her.
