Registration of Xiaomi SU9 LUX trademark indicates development of a larger luxury sedan

Xiaomi has registered the trademark 'XIAOMI SU9 LUX' for vehicles, confirming reports about the development of a larger executive sedan.

According to the trademark registration data, the application was filed on February 13, and the registration announcement was made on September 7; protection for this mark will be valid until September 2036.

Chinese automotive publications link this name to a derivative of the SU7 model with an extended wheelbase, which was previously called SU7L. According to road test reports, the car features a longer body, additional space behind the front seats, and signs of rear-wheel steering.

This vehicle is expected to target buyers who require more space for rear passengers and enhanced comfort compared to the standard SU7 model. Xiaomi has not yet officially announced the name, technical specifications, or release date of the SU9 LUX model.
