The Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Shermatov, held an online meeting with representatives of EY, including the firm's partner Timothy Grosser, who heads EY's cooperation with NVIDIA and Dell Technologies.
During the discussion, the parties focused on developing Uzbekistan's technological and innovation ecosystem, according to the Ministry of Digital Technologies. Special attention was paid to artificial intelligence, new technologies, and priority areas where Uzbekistan can gain competitiveness in global markets.
Participants also reviewed issues of attracting international technology companies and investments, expanding the export of technological services, and training qualified specialists for this industry. Another area covered was transforming technological initiatives into tangible economic results, specifically through the creation of new, high-paying, and quality jobs.
The Ministry and EY expressed their desire to continue cooperation and define concrete steps for joint work. Furthermore, they plan to explore partnership opportunities with IT Park and Enterprise Uzbekistan. According to the ministry, this interaction is intended to contribute to achieving Uzbekistan's long-term goals in technology development.
