The Center has issued a directive obligating state and private medical institutions across the country to completely cease the practice of reusing medical instruments and single-use surgical supplies.
This ban is due to patient safety risks, especially in intensive care units. The Directorate of Health Services (DGHS) warned that reusing such devices can lead to cross-infections, equipment malfunctions, reduced efficiency, and other complications.
