Vivo launches streaming packages with discounts of up to 40% for customers

On Friday, October 23rd, Vivo introduced new streaming packages with starting prices of R$ 49.90 per month. These proposals bundle services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, Globoplay, HBO Max, and YouTube Premium, allowing all to be charged on a single bill and managed through the operator's application.

There are three options available for R$ 49.90 per month, all comprising Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, plus an additional service. The most comprehensive package includes five streaming platforms for R$ 74.90 per month, which, according to the operator, generates a 40% saving compared to contracting the services individually.

The plans offered include Netflix, Globoplay, Disney+, and HBO Max, but in the ad-supported version. The packages can be subscribed to by customers who have Vivo Post, Control, Fiber, and Vivo Total plans. Subscription does not require loyalty and can be made through both the company's physical and digital channels, as part of a tactic focused on customer retention.

According to data from Vivo itself, approximately five million individuals use streaming services provided by the operator. However, competitors are watching the market; the previous week, TIM began the second phase of its streaming hub, which offers combinations of various services with the promise of a 50% discount.

Flávio Carneiro, Vivo's B2C Marketing Director, stated that 'entertainment is one of the pillars of Vivo's strategy as a digital ecosystem.' He added that, for this reason, the company constantly invests in solutions designed to facilitate access to these services.
