Entrepreneurs from the Tashkent Region of Uzbekistan arrived in Poland with the aim of strengthening economic and trade relations, developing industrial cooperation, increasing exports, and launching joint projects.

The delegation is headed by Dilshod Rasulov, head of the project office of the Tashkent Region at the Agency for Industrial Cooperation and Public Procurement. According to a statement from the Tashkent Region administration, the visit program includes meetings with government representatives, industry organizations, and major Polish companies.

Initial negotiations and trade issues

The first discussions took place with Jacek Czerniak, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Poland, who was also joined by Piotr Kolada, head of the National Centre for Agricultural Support (KOWR). The parties focused on increasing bilateral trade, expanding and diversifying the range of exported goods, as well as resolving issues related to transport and logistics.

Furthermore, the activities of the Polish-Uzbek Trade House in Akhangaran district and its potential for stimulating trade between enterprises of the two countries were discussed.

Infrastructure and water resource management issues

The delegation also met with Jacek Jarząbek, Vice President of Wody Polskie, and representatives of the Polish Ministry of Infrastructure. Discussions covered improving water resource management, as well as transport and logistics infrastructure. Opportunities for exchanging experience in the field of reservoir management, water storage systems, and increasing the efficiency of canals and pumping stations were studied. The application of drones and artificial intelligence for the digitalization of water resource management was also considered.

An agreement was reached to hold an online meeting between representatives of Uzsuvtaminot JSC and Polish specialists, as well as to strengthen ties between the relevant ministries and agencies.

Visit to production enterprises

The delegation also visited Polish manufacturing companies. At Pronar, which produces agricultural and municipal machinery, participants studied prospects for equipment supply, industrial cooperation, and joint projects. At Dary Natury, which specializes in organic food products and the processing of medicinal plants, the delegation familiarized itself with the production, processing, and packaging processes.

The parties discussed the possibility of exporting medicinal plants grown in Uzbekistan to Poland, including finished and processed products.
