Husband and wife die from complications after illness in Manpuri (UP); they were buried on the same pyre

In Manpuri, Uttar Pradesh, the life of one family suddenly turned into a tragedy. A 48-year-old man, Mukesh Kumar, died from dengue. Approximately four hours after his death, his wife, 42-year-old Deepa, also passed away. This double loss caused immense suffering to the family.

When the couple's bodies arrived in the village, there was crying and grief. In the evening, both were buried on the same pyre. Three sons and one daughter remained in the family, having lost both parents.

The incident occurred in the village of Kasad, which belongs to the Elau block of Manpuri district. Two deaths occurred in one family within a few hours, plunging the entire village into sorrow. The house, where daily life once thrived, is now shrouded in mourning.

Mukesh Kumar, who lived in Kasad, earned a living through agriculture. Besides his wife Deepa, the family had four children. Life was going on until Mukesh's health began to deteriorate in October.

On October 19, Mukesh suddenly felt unwell and developed a fever. The family took him to the hospital, where his condition was deemed serious, and he was referred to Agra for further examination. It was found in Agra that the cause of his condition was dengue, and treatment continued.

The family hoped that the treatment would improve Mukesh's condition and that he would soon return home. However, difficulties in the family were growing: his wife Deepa was also suffering from a fever and was receiving treatment at another hospital in Agra. Thus, the couple was in hospitals, and the family was extremely worried about their health.

On the night of Wednesday around nine thirty, Mukesh Kumar died during treatment. This was a huge shock to the family, as he was the main breadwinner. After Mukesh's death, the news reached his wife Deepa, who was also in the hospital battling a fever.

After her husband's death, the family faced unending grief. The nighttime sorrow did not end: approximately four hours after Mukesh's death, Deepa also passed away. Although the cause of Deepa's death has not yet been determined, only a few hours passed between the two deaths.

On Thursday, when Mukesh and Deepa's bodies arrived in Kasad, the entire village was plunged into mourning. Local residents also came to the family's house to offer condolences. Family members were in a state of deep grief. Mukesh was the main provider, supporting the family with income from agriculture. His passing deprived the family of two main pillars.

This tragedy had the deepest impact on the four children: three sons and one daughter, who were left without both parents. The parents, whose support was supposed to guide the children forward, passed away overnight. The family will find it extremely difficult to cope with this loss, facing grief and anxiety about the future and responsibility simultaneously.

On Thursday evening, a joint procession for Mukesh and Deepa took place in the village. Villagers supported the family during this difficult hour. Afterward, the couple was buried on the same pyre, concluding their shared journey together.
