Ant Digital Technologies releases LingDT-Decision-1.0 model for fast corporate decision-making

Ant Digital Technologies, a division of Ant Group specializing in enterprise technologies, has introduced the LingDT-Decision-1.0 model. This model is specifically designed for structured business decision-making, rather than free text generation. The model is available in two versions—4B and 27B parameters—and is hosted on the company's DTMaaS platform, where developers can test it for free for a limited time.

The core idea was to isolate a specific type of task from the general field of large language models. Many corporate operations boil down to selecting from predefined options. As an example, Ant Digital Technologies provided a customer service scenario: a message stating that an order has not been shipped within three days requires the system to determine whether it is a refund request, a reminder, or a complaint, what its urgency level is, which department should handle it, and whether human intervention is required.

Standard large language models typically operate by reasoning one token at a time, generating text that is then parsed to derive a decision. The company notes that this process is lengthy, costly, and more prone to errors. The decision-making model is designed to directly evaluate options within a given set of choices. This makes it suitable for high-frequency steps in agent workflows, such as intent recognition, tool selection, rule classification, and evaluation.

According to tests conducted by Ant Digital Technologies in customer service, risk control, and financial scenarios, LingDT-Decision-1.0 reduced token consumption by over 90% compared to large language models when performing similar tasks. Furthermore, it responded up to 10 times faster and demonstrated superior results. Beyond simple 'yes' or 'no' judgments, single-option selection, classification, and rating, the company claims this model is the first to support native multiple-choice and sequential decisions organized as a Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG), aligning with multi-stage business processes.

Across 23 open-source benchmarks, the company stated that LingDT-Decision-1.0 outperformed other decision-making models, including Microsoft-Decision-1 and Jev 1.13, with the 27B version achieving the highest accuracy among models of its size. It should be noted that these results are proprietary to the company and have not undergone independent verification.

The release of this model does not mean the discontinuation of general large language models. Instead, the model is intended to work in parallel with them, taking on many small, repetitive judgments within a corporate agent so that larger models can focus on free-form generation and reasoning. For teams building agents at scale, this separation can significantly impact cost and latency.

Ant Group and vLLM community release Humming—a kernel library for quantized inference supporting Zhenwu 810E

Ant Group, in collaboration with the vLLM community, has released Humming—a GEMM kernel library designed for the inference of quantized Large Language Models (LLMs) using Just-In-Time (JIT) compilation.

This project is released under the Apache 2.0 license via Ant Group's inclusionAI organization and is mirrored in the vLLM project. Humming addresses a common challenge in quantized serving: the need to create a specialized kernel for every combination of weight bit width, activation format, scaling scheme, dense or Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) layout structure, and GPU generation.

The library translates supported export formats into a unified quantization description, then performs JIT compilation of kernels from reusable CUDA components for a specified target shape, device, and computational options.

According to the project description, one architecture supports integer weights from INT1 to INT8 and floating-point weights from FP4 to FP8, combined with activations of FP16, BF16, FP8, FP4, INT8, or INT4, provided the formats are compatible. It supports both dense GEMM and MoE GEMM, and is targeted at NVIDIA GPUs starting from the Turing architecture.

The library dependencies are limited to PyTorch and NVCC, and the pip package size is approximately 100 KB. A significant aspect is the extension of hardware support beyond NVIDIA: Humming fully supports the T-Head Zhenwu 810E AI accelerator, which is CUDA-compatible, allowing the use of the same kernels and configuration paths on this device. T-Head is a subsidiary of Alibaba, and Zhenwu 810E was previously used in Chinese AI deployments.

Performance results presented in the joint announcement are based on proprietary microbenchmarks and team serving tests. At small batch sizes, dense W4A16 showed an improvement of approximately 3–4 times compared to cuBLAS across several devices. On B300, the W4A8 ratio to baseline DeepGEMM is estimated at about 1.6 times in some cases with small and medium batch sizes.

During end-to-end testing of DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash on eight H20 GPUs, transitioning from MoE Marlin W4A16 to Humming W4A8 increased output throughput by approximately 14%–43% and reduced the average time to first token by 25%–32%, with the largest gain observed at higher parallelism. These results have not yet undergone independent verification.

Starting with vLLM version 0.29.0, vLLM installations with CUDA include Humming as a dependency. Operators can activate it using the flags --linear-backend humming and --moe-backend humming. It should be noted that Humming is a joint project of Ant Group and the vLLM community, not exclusively an Ant Group product.

Anthropic launches Claude Haiku 5.5, a faster and more economical AI model

Anthropic has unveiled Claude Haiku 5.5, presenting it as its most accessible and fastest artificial intelligence to date. This launch follows the Opus 5.5 and Sonnet 5.5 models.

The new model demonstrates potential for various applications, including auxiliary programming tasks, development of customer support agents, and web research.

A notable aspect is the cost-benefit ratio. While Sonnet 5.5, released at the end of September, costs approximately US$ 2 (R$ 10) per hundred thousand tokens, Haiku 5.5 presents 95% lower costs, costing only US$ 0.10 (R$ 0.50) for comparable requests.

In addition to internal comparisons, Anthropic provided data indicating that Haiku 5.5 surpasses GPT-6 Luna, the corresponding version from competitor OpenAI. Access to the new model is already available on the Anthropic platform under the identifier “claude-haiku-5-5”.

Haiku 5.5 represents almost double the capacity of Haiku 4.5. Anthropic's agentic AI functionality allows activities to be executed agilely and with low expenditure, making it advantageous for individuals and corporations using customer service bots. Similarly, everyday queries can be performed faster and at a lower cost.

The pricing established by Anthropic for different types of work deserves emphasis. Essentially, any consumption below one hundred thousand tokens costs less than US$ 0.50 (R$ 2.50), a significantly lower value compared to other AIs available on the market. It is crucial to note that this model is not intended for extensive or deep work, which justifies the usage price.
