Jewelry businesses across the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have launched special promotions for the Diwali festival. These offers include instant cashback, gold price protection, reduced manufacturing charges, and free gold coins to attract buyers who are planning their holiday season spending more carefully.
Diwali, known as the Festival of Lights, will be celebrated in the UAE on November 8, 2026, while Dhanteras, considered an auspicious day for purchasing precious metals, falls on November 6. Buying gold and jewelry is a long-standing tradition during festivals, especially among the Indian community, as gold is viewed as a symbol of prosperity, wealth, good fortune, and new beginnings.
Bafleh Jewellery offers up to 10 percent instant cashback on all jewelry items. Diamond-studded jewelry is available at a 50 percent discount, plus an additional 10 percent instant cashback. According to Chirag Vora, Managing Director, customers can also lock in the gold price by paying only a 9 percent deposit; if gold prices rise, they will pay the fixed low rate set at the time of booking, and if prices fall, they will pay the current lower rate. Furthermore, the retailer sells 24-karat coins, bars, and jewelry at wholesale prices.
Kanz Jewels, in turn, provides discounts on manufacturing charges and gives away gold coins and smartphones as gifts with qualifying purchases. Anil Dhanak, Managing Director, noted that the company's goal is to spread the spirit of Diwali, which is a festival of giving and celebration, making festive purchases 'even more rewarding'.
At Tanishq, customers can receive up to a 25 percent discount on the cost of diamonds and manufacturing charges on gold and diamond jewelry, according to Niraj Bhakare, Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer for International Business at Titan Company Limited. When exchanging old gold jewelry, customers receive an additional 15 dirhams per gram, along with a 100 percent valuation of the exchanged items.
Overall, gold prices, promotional offers, and manufacturing charges influence purchasing decisions, prompting some buyers to make acquisitions when prices are lower. An added advantage for those purchasing gold and jewelry is the gold price below 500 dirhams per gram in Dubai. On Thursday, 24K, 22K, and 21K traded at prices of 492.25 dirhams, 455.75 dirhams, and 437.0 dirhams per gram, respectively. Bhakare emphasized that Diwali is a special time for families to celebrate traditions, mark important milestones, and make personally meaningful purchases.
