Seven chefs from Portugal, Brazil, and the USA will jointly prepare a menu as part of the Dinner of the Year event. The first version of this gastronomic event will take place on October 24th in the gardens of Belém Tower in Lisbon. The program includes a combination of culinary arts, music, and artistic performances, organized in a temporary structure covering approximately 1800 square meters.
It is planned that the project will have a version in São Paulo in 2027. The Portuguese delegation includes chefs such as Henrique Sá Pessoa and Rui Paula, both holders of two Michelin stars, as well as Noelia Jerónimo, known for her work with Algarve products and flavors.
From Brazil, Claude Truagro, Jéssica Trindade, and Rodrigo Oliveira participate, who heads the Mocotó restaurant in São Paulo. Truagro and Trindade manage the Madame Olympe restaurant in Rio de Janeiro, which holds one Michelin star. The group is complemented by North American chef Michael Schwartz, founder of Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink in Miami, recognized by the James Beard Foundation.
The concept of Dinner of the Year is for the event to visit various cities, thereby bringing together chefs, producers, and the public from different countries. After its debut in Lisbon, the next venue will be São Paulo in 2027, as part of an initiative aimed at strengthening gastronomic ties between Brazil and Portugal.
The Portuguese part of the event receives support from Recheio and Vinhos do Alentejo, whose brands will accompany the menu. The program also includes a trip to the Alentejo region to introduce international journalists to winemakers and the territory.
The event is also supported by Turismo de Portugal and Turismo de Lisboa. Organizers reported that there are still last places available for the Lisbon version. Information about possible participation can be requested via email at guests@allin.pt.
