Mandatory annual psychological diagnostics are being introduced in educational institutions across Uzbekistan for both teaching staff (educators) and pupils of kindergartens, schoolchildren, students, and university attendees. According to information published by the Ministry of Justice's Telegram channel, this procedure must be carried out at least once during the academic year, as established by the presidential decree dated October 19th.
The implementation of the diagnostics is planned in stages. During the 2026–2027 academic year, the examination will cover preschool and general education institutions. Subsequently, in the 2027–2028 academic year, the diagnostics will be extended to secondary vocational, professional, and higher education institutions.
The results obtained from the diagnostics are intended to identify the need for psychological assistance and to improve educational programs. The examinations will be conducted by the Research Institute of Psychology using standardized international-level methodologies via a specialized electronic platform, with the confidentiality of all collected information guaranteed.
The analysis of the results will be performed using artificial intelligence technologies. Based on this analysis, participants will be divided into three categories: psychologically stable, requiring psychological support, and requiring active psychological support.
Individuals who require psychological support will be assigned a full-time psychologist from the educational institution. Those needing more intensive help will be assigned a mentor-psychologist responsible for a specific territory.
